long story short there is a judgement against me and my parents. my parents never went to appeal it and i never even knew about it so the judge ordered in plaintiff's favor. now they levied my bank accounts, and there was a letter in the mail that in 10 days they can come and do a sherrif's sale on anything that we own(we are in new jersey). what do they do, do you have to have a warrant, can they just come when they please?

I was driving home from college (NY to IL) when I was pulled over by a State Trooper and he gave me a ticket for 91mph. I have no clue what to do as this is my first ticket. There is a plead guilty and not guilty. I'm don't think I can make the court appearance as I am a full time college student. What should I do? My friend said talk to the local District Attorney but I don't know how to find him/her. Appearance location is Avoca, NY in Steuben County which is like an hour and a half away from my college.

My mother is seriously will and spoke with a lawyer earlier this week about her wishes. The lawyer visited with her in the hospital and went over her wishes point by point. The lawyer drew up the will and said she would return on Friday to go over it again and get my mothers signature. When the lawyer came to the hospital Friday at 11am my mother was too sleepy to stay awake for the appointment. (Nurse had given her pain meds). The lawyer said for us (my sisters and I) to give her a call later in the afternoon and she would come back when my mom was awake and alert. I called the lawyer back at the time she asked me to and told her my mother was now awake and that she could come back with her notary and secretary to the hospital. At this point the lawyer said that since my mother was so sleepy this morning and under pain medicine effects that she would rather come back another time when my mom was more alert. Continued..

I feel the poor and middle class in America and the world could have a much better lifestyle if they could only become unified. However, I have also noticed the poor and middle class can become violently oppossed to one another over the smallest of details. It reminds me of a chicken fight. Humans force the chickens to peck and harm each other until they will fight on their own. One would think the chickens would know better, yet are humans just as ignorant?

On June 1st 2007 my son was at school and playing around he got a small stick and was going to place it on somebodies neck to make them freak out thinking something was on their neck. What happened was he accidentaly poked one kid in his ear.
School never contacted me.
I did not hear about this until late July, because my son told me that the kid said he was ok.
In july I get a call from the kid's mother, saying that it got worse, I agreed to pay all MEDICAL bills.
In September I get the bills for gas, medical bills (w/o reciept), and some tennis club membership. I disagreed to pay until she signs a liability waiver. She diened and dragged the school etc... The archiocese paid her $1000.
From later September to now there was no contact.
Today I got a letter from a law firm pretty much saying I am being sued.
What can I expect in court?
How much can she get from me?
Do I have any chance? I don't think so

SAN DIEGO - A volunteer firefighter who helped battle one of last month's wildfires in San Diego County pleaded guilty years ago to setting several destructive wildfires.

Steven Santos Robles Jr. has been returned to prison because he violated parole by failing to tell his parole officer he had joined the Ranchita Volunteer Fire Department, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.

Robles is not suspected of setting any of last month's fires, state fire officials said.

"We have had no other problems with him until this point," said Jerome Marsh, a spokesman for the state parole department.

Robles, 30, pleaded guilty a decade ago to setting seven San Diego County wildfires that charred thousands of acres and destroyed about a dozen homes while he was a volunteer firefighter.

He was sentenced to 18 years in prison but was paroled in May.

No background check was required when he was accepted last month as a volunteer with the department in Ranchita, a community of 160 peopl

isn't the government losing money? Of course, if it cancelled all tobacco taxes, the smokers would be getting a free ride.
Persons with bodies weakened by smoking, get all kinds of diseases and ailments. Should tobacco taxes be raised 10 times to pay more of their medical bills that now fall upon the non-smoking public?

Please let me know.

My landlord is trying to evict us. She has harrassed me about money due for rent but refuses to fulfill the obligations of a resident manager. When I moved in to my residence there was a list of repairs I requested done. She has not done any of them stating that the repairs are not important and needed. Repairs such as replacing a broken window, sealing cracks around the bathtub where you can look down into below the trailer, cracks around the air unit where cold air is coming in to the trailer, two doors that will not close properly and leave the trailer easy accessible to theives. What do I do?
