Yes I have
I went to watch Man Utd ( Utd in Second division do you remember) versus Bristol City at Bristol about 25 years ago.
As I walked down the street where my car was parked there was a heard of supporters moving down the street fighting lots of blood.
I ran ahead jumped into my car did a u turn quite safely and then was stopped by a jumped up obviuosly bored copper.
He said "that was a silly thing to do where are you from ?
I said Gloucestershire and he said " They only have Horse & Carts out there "
I said " Yes you are right "
I then drove home
Wonder what he thought when the mob arrived .

I have been verbally abused by the police a number of times.Mainly cos they stop and search me (I wear a hooded jacket sometimes so they assume I'm a drug dealer) find nothing illegal, and get upset and racist (I'm Scottish but live in England).
I have seen a couple of people be the victims of unprovoked physical assaults by the police.I have also seen several police officers lie in court when a friend of mine was briefly sent to jail for something he hadn't done (he was later cleared on appeal.)
I know there are some decent police officers but my bad experience mean I would be unlikely to ever trust a police officer.

I got beaten up by Greater Manchesters finest on July 20th 2007, outside my house, in my car with my 3 year old boy, dragged out of my car by men who didn't identify themselves as cops, punched to the ground, slung up against my car, my head banged against the window repeatedly, and my little boy was watching from his seat, screaming...Unfortunately for GMP, I have 3 witnesses and will go all the way against them, I've got an interview with my solicitor and some high ranking cop next week. I'm going to sue the a**es off them. They're more like thugs than police, and we need to bring that to their attention, and I am.

You must be in a very small community! Not only abusive in his job, but to his family and neighbors. Strap a gun on a man, and he thinks he's God! Give him permission to use it, and he abuses it. Watch him break the law and get promoted for it. All in a day's work!

I'd love it if policemen were allowed to kick a** like they did in the 60's when I was a kid. There wouldn't be as much trouble on the streets now and us "oldies" would get a bit of respect.

I've been smacked in the side by a billy club at a peaceful protest in DC. They claimed that someone "threw a bottle" at them, which was a lie to cover their ***, as always. We got the video of one of the cops who was just walking through the protesters in plain clothes, randomly pepper spraying people in the crowd. Disgusting.
