I may have violated my bf's privacy by going thru his phone bill. I suspected him of cheating so I looked through his bill & there was a large amount of phone #'s so I called a view to c who these people were & sure enough they were other women that he was fooling around with.

Now he saids we can never be together & that what I did made him feel as if he'd been raped. I should've have ever overstepped my boundaries like that. I know going thru someone's phone bill isn't exactly the right thing to do but I had a hunch and I had to follow it & find out the truth because I knew he'd never tell me.

Anyone can call the police, and find out.

the police will tell you they cannot unless they see you put something in your person or in your bags and try to leave.
Call the police and find out before you try to argue with nonsense.

AND no store can put up a sign that would basically have to say, "by entering you agree to give up your constitutional rights to us and let us force you into a volunteer search"

Its preposterous to think that some people actually feel they must surcumb to this.

Must be the same people that work at best buy and walmart I guess.

Call your local police department and ask.
UNLESS someone witneeses.
If they try to impose and force you -- and you have not taken anything -- theres a lawsuit there against them.

I have been working at the place for a little over 4 months now.
About two weeks ago, my manager took me to the side and informed me that i have been ineffective at my current responsibilites and that certain tasks will be taken away from me while others will be given to me.
So within the past two weeks i have only done administrative work for the group in whch they told me to now do. While this, I cant tell you how much stress i had with them... now today, my manager called me in the office to inform me that the work i am now doing does not coorespond to the amount of my salary and they have to let me go.

1) can i collect unemployment due to this?
2) what would be the next step(s) for me in order to go about this?

There are no laws governing people with tatoos. Yet a lot of employers refuse employment becasue of them. I have seen Police officers, lawyers, and doctors with them, so why can't people with a tatoo work in a lower type companies, example Mcdonalds, Wendy's, Gas stations etc. get jobs with tatoos?
Shouldn't that be considered discrimanation?

this was from a court appointed attorney...they are now saying at its a county lien and there are no statute of limitations on that. it will remain until either debt is paid or the person dies....is this really true??

Early this morning, my landlords office called my cell phone asking for 'Carl'. I do not know anyone by that name, so I told her she had the wrong number and hung up. About a half hour later, I'm in the shower when I hear footsteps and voices in my apartment. Thinking it must be upstairs or next door, I continue to shower. Then I hear my landlord and another person standing outside my wide open bathroom door talking in hushed voices. They didn't say anything directly to me and then they left. I'm worried because I recently adopted two kittens from a shelter and it's against our lease to have pets. However, I've lived here for about six months and in that time, I've seen at least three other tenants with pets. Any advice?

Surely it is better to tax the companies forcing this packaging on us - stop it at source than to tax us for getting rid of it. Or is there a reason they don't like with tobacco and the tax revenue they get from it meaning they can't ban smoking outright.

I'm beginning to wonder if this is how some people still feel in this day and age. Why are Gays and lesbians forced to accept unequal rights?
I will readily admit that I am in a conventional marriage, so it doesn't really affect me. But being a caring individual, I'm struggling to understand how we can live with denying someone the right to happiness.
Considering that 50 percent of all marriages end in divorce, and the number of serial brides and grooms out there (Liz Taylor, Larry King, Rudy Guliani, Newt Gingrich, Rush Limbaugh....just a few who come to mind) and the number of serial philandererers (Bill Clinton, David Vitter) I've come to the conclusion that we don't have the right to judge on gay marriages. Marriage isn't perfect, and I don't see how it is up to us to judge people if it is right or wrong.

No, Marriage isn't a constitutional right, but aren't all created equal and gauranteed life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness?

I ordered some wedding favors from a woman who owns a small business in my city. I found her at a bridal show and paid for my order by check. That was in May , she told me it would take some time to make them and she would contact me when they were ready. I heard nothing so in September I contacted her via email and she told me they were done and she would ship them no problem- Here we are November and i still don't have them. I've been emailing since September and have gotten no further responce. I've also called all the contact numbers I can find and they are all disconnected. Being that i have proof of payment and an email from her can I go to the police? What is the name of the crime I am turning her in for? Please help me it would be very appreciated.

He was at his Jr high school and had two joints in his backpack. After authorities were notified the boy and his entire family are being sent back to Mexico because they were in this country illegally.

Some are happy to be rid of the illegals, but this seems like severe treatment and all the family must now be deported. I don't really know how to feel about this. Were the people generally law abiding? Were the parents employed and eligible for legal status? What are your thoughts and feelings?
