Heres another on for you Kirsty. From our neck of the woods. You can't have a fish and chip shop in West Jesmond, even though there is a chinese takeaway

I knew some of them, but the stamp one upsidedown cracked me up..

Also to add to the list.. Legend has it, it's legal to murder a Welshman within the wallls of Chester, with a bow and arrow after midnight.

Actually I did since Yahoo News reported this a day or so ago. Did you check out the link to stupid laws on the books here in the United States? Should have. Our stupid laws can top anybody else's stupid laws!

yes it has been posted here a thousand times the last few days.

But I still haven't seen a single citation of any of these laws, just a list.

Probably urban legends all of them. I am sure snopes.com is working feverishly :)

I read this on Yahoo yesterday. Yup, there are some crazy laws out there. There are plenty of them in the US as well. Most of them are never enforced even though they are still technically laws.
