We have a court date today for a car repo...my husband wants me to go and talk to the judge b/c this car was a lemon and where we got the car was a small town car place that rip people off.

Also he bought a car from them years ago and gave it back b/c it also was crap and they sold it to a friend off ours. Now they are saying they didnt sell it and are suing us for that too.

Should i go to court or not??Would it be worth it if i did??

......and putting them on a healthy diet. Their families would be informed their OK and all bills etc would be paid.

When slim, they would be released.

Thoughts?

PS. Not going to do it. Its the ethics Im asking about. Is the infringement of their human rights worse than the clear early death they face?

going to start compulsary re testing drivers at say 60yrs old?
I am 44 and have MS. I had to have a driving assesment and was then issued a 3yr license. I dont have a problem with this, as I fully understand the reasons. but, how many olderr drivers have you seen that are, in short, a danger to other road users.. a lot of older drivers do not have the speed of reaction to deal with todays driving conditions. when are the government going to wake up and smell the coffee???

We have a Mayor (with only a GED so he isn't too bright) who has decided to rehab a 15 story hotel that has been vacant for 20 year. The no-bid contracts are going to organizations ( rumored to be mob related ) outside of the city. One appraisal said the building had a negative valuation of $760,000 and should be demolished yet they are moving ahead to spend millions of city funds for a project with no market value. Common sense does not deter these plans. There are environmental issues (asbestos / mold / etc.) and the heating, plumbing would need to be replaced. This is the old Sheraton hotel in downtown Gary, Indiana.
How can we appeal to the courts to change this course of action? Many people believe this is another run on the city's treasury, (however small)... by outside organizations. There are many good citizens remaining in Gary, Indiana, who love their homes but are frustrated by the lack of civic leadership. How can we appeal to the courts at this point?

Since factionalism has reached hysteria, and compromise seems impossible, wouldn't the people of the United States be better off agreeing that the experiment has failed and it might be better to go their seperate ways.

New York is preparing to issue licenses to illegal aliens. This is nothing less than official recognition that breaking the law is fine and dandy with the state. We are told that by issuing these documents to these law-breakers that they will be able to buy insurance thus making it 'safer' for the motoring public and "may" even cause rates of insurance, and accidents to be reduced. Here in New Mexico,we began a license program last year and so far there has not been any signs that either has occured.Point of fact, our DWI stats have increased.and insurance rates are rising instead.
Criminal Aliens do not abide by the rules-that is why we call them criminals, they won't buy insurance because what they don't spend on housing, they send the rest back to their country of origin.Insurance does not fit into their budgets.

Ok so the college i was attending kicked me out due to an illness in which the Dr asked for the absences in class and chapel to be excused which is the policy in the handbook I provided the school with the necessary documents but they still kicked me out, I was harassed and told that I shouldn't be at there school because of the religious denomination which is different from theres, there is nothing that says you cant attend their school because of what church you attend so they committed religious discrimination, they also treated me differently then white students, I had a roommate that was caught with lots of alcohol in the suite and she didnt get in trouble and she was white, the school also told me many times that I was incapable of doing the course work, Ive been on the deans list and presidents list so Im not stupid and fully capable of doing the work. So my question is this what can I sue for discrimination, harassment, and wrongful eviction of my dorm room, emotional distress?

I am in the middle of a custody fight, and I received emails from two of my children's email accounts while they were visiting with my ex and received two scathing emails from them that I know as their mom they did not write. Is there an area of forensics that specializes in determining from different samples of the children's writing whether or not they actually wrote these emails? Also, I'm pretty certain they didn't even send them. I believe that he logged onto each of their accounts and wrote them and sent them to me. If he did this from his office, how can I from the emails I've received be able to determine which computers these emails were written and sent from? If you know, please respond. Only serious answers from people who know. I'm working against a clock this all transpired after hours when lawyers arent available to talk to. I need to do some internet research quickly. So far my keywords arent pulling what I need. If you can help, please answer. If you cannot, please dont

Dear Sirs
Happy deepawali. Due to President's illegalities and irregularities, gen sec filed a case praying for abstaining president till president is proved innocent. After 6 months of case in progress the gen sec resigned. I filed a suit for impleading. Now it seems that the original plaint filed by the gen sec has to be amended--meaning the gen sec has to give no objections or something like that. Need to know will it be technically legal for gen sec to give no objection eventhough he has resigned and/or gen sec can still give no objection for me to be impleaded even though he has resigned and by the mere fact the case was initiated by him; or most importantly just bcos gen sec has resigned that does not mean the case/suit dies with his resignation or gen sec can still continue with the case?? As usual only legal professional to advice and as applicable in India. It is an welfare society.

On the downside: artists may feel First Amendment rights are impinged; some innocent youth groups may get detained to Juvie; some may feel that one culture/ethnicity gets unfairly targeted.

On the upside, violent crime rates may 'drop off a cliff.'

Seems like the "violation" notices have been getting a bit stupid these days. If someone reports you, shouldn't you have the right to know who did it ? Or is the YA keyboard snitch system the way to go ?

If you have been UNJUSTLY violated, I say it's time to DEMAND Yahoo Answers to pony up the facts, and we all should flood the home office with email saying so ! Who is ready for the effort ?

My teacher is having us play lawyer we are either people for Thomas Jefferson or against him. If you are for him then you must debunk all the claims made by the Anti Thomas Jefferson Society of America. If you are against him your goal is to put him in jail, I don’t know which side I should fight for. Here are the charges being made by the A.T.J.S. of A would you agree with the charges below or disagree? give an adequate reason(s)

•Thomas Jefferson wrote in the Declaration of Independence that all men are created equal even though he owned more than 200 slaves at his home in Monticello.
•In his Notes on Virginia, Jefferson makes inflammatory and derogatory remarks directed against African Americans.
•He makes no mention of the rights of African Americans in the Declaration of Independence.
•He has not released all of his slaves in accordance with the prevailing sentiment that slavery was morally and ethically wrong in the period after the Declaration of Independence.

Is there a law about not having to tell someone other than a supervisor or HR rep that I will be out of work and the reason?
Do I have to tell someone who is just one a "help desk" that I cant come in?
Thier Job is to answer a question like can we do this for a customer and what does this mean on a bill. What gives them the right to know what I am doing away from work?
If there is some Kind of law can you please help me?

We saw the Bush administration throw peaceful Iraq into war, slaughtering thousands of innocents, far more than those alleged by Hussein, and in the process disregarding all international laws. My own innocent country was drawn in at knife point under Bush's brutal "with us or against us" policy. We have seen far more death, destruction and deceit, than any accused by the US, and yet Bush is free and proud. What do you think - Is the Bush administration a bunch of war criminals?

Since it's illegal for someone under 21 to purchase alcohol, wouldn't it be illegal for the store owner to make the person pay for the broken bottles? Since the person is over 18 his/her parents are no longer responsible for any of his/her actions, so they couldn't make the parents pay.
