Seems like the "violation" notices have been getting a bit stupid these days. If someone reports you, shouldn't you have the right to know who did it ? Or is the YA keyboard snitch system the way to go ?

If you have been UNJUSTLY violated, I say it's time to DEMAND Yahoo Answers to pony up the facts, and we all should flood the home office with email saying so ! Who is ready for the effort ?

Knowing your accuser is NOT "nazi", it's a basic right in US law. That's why if you are accused of something, the prosacution HAS to reveal it's evidence and witnesses.

You don't have to be indicted, you only have to be charged. Being sent a violation notice and you losing points BEFORE you have a chance to defend yourself in more "nazi" like.

If you knew who was doing the drive by reporting, then you coild block that person, and have justifiable grounds to prove it was assassination reporting.

Yours is the best idea I've seen in a long time.

When Yahoo came out with the "trusted source" concept, the idea seemed desirable: any person who correctly reported a violation would earn points towards being a reliable, trusted source.

However, since the Yahoo Administrators obviously don't care or don't pay attention to the validity of these violations, the lying little tattle tales are getting away with murder. In just the past 10 days, some of the top Conservative contributors in the Politics section have been suspended.

Why are some Libs so afraid of Conservatives that they must stoop to these childish behaviors? Is it because we are so much more persuasive than they are? Is it because our logic and coherent arguments are like a splash of cold water in their dream world existence?

There is a highly suspicious, all-out attack on Conservatives here. Brian, Suthrnlyts, Lamplighter, Alpha Male and others have been suspended. None of these suspensions are legitimate. Anyone who has read Suthrnlyts' answers knows that she is one of the most unoffensive and gracious regulars in the Politics section. The Yahoo administrators won't even respond to her because there is no way they can justify her suspension.

Yes ABSOLUTELY, we should have the ability to see who is our accuser. Since there will be no cloak of secrecy, people who legitimately report someone will not be afraid of anonymous reprisals.

If anyone wants to disagree with me, that is your prerogative. Unlike the gutless wonders who are systematically trying to get rid of the important Conservative contributors, I don't try to silence anyone. I don't report people when I don't agree with their position. I simply see it as an opportunity for me to educate one more person in this world.

And if anyone disagrees with me, at least have the courage not to hide behind a cloak of anonymity. My email address is not only proudly posted, it is my Yahoo name as well. Unlike the slimy, pathetic little cowards who are trying to get rid of the Conservatives on this venue, I have nothing to hide.

I got kicked off right after I hit 5,000 points. Say I violated and my account was closed. I can't find out what I said or did or who I peed off.

My feeling is it would be a wasted effort.

Yea.....who wants to hide behind YA skirts when reporting violations....If you were secure in the validity of your report, you would not feel the need to hide behind anonymity.....that is for cowards who are afraid of retaliation from those unfairly targeted....

I mean, come on.....five top conservatives gone in about 48 hrs?.....most of whom, were the epitome of a moderate voice.....You can just forget trying to convince me that was a coincidence!!

Yes, It is "Way Past Time' !!!!!
Sad, Sad, Sad these conditions.
Sad, Sad, Sad that there are those who DO NOT have the cajones to stand up and be recognized, for, as , 'beit the', themselves.
I am very glad that I never had to serve, in the 1950's and 1960's Army, with such "whimps" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you haven't been indicted, you don't have the right to know your accusers. A committee should be created to listen to the alleged violations and rule on them.
