Nothing. The privacy of parents giving up children for adoption is protected by law. However, there are a few registries where birth parents and adopted children can find each other if both chose to register. Here is one: http://www.adopteeconnect.com/p/a/1034/

It doesn't hurt to ask or file a complaint in court against the adoption agency for the info. You never know. Sometimes courts will release the original birth record information (birth certificate and medical information) if you have a medical problem and need to know your family's medical history.

Even though there was a state law against releasing my birth information, I got my original information released because I needed it for medical and ancestry purposes.

Your parents should have received an adoption decree with some information on it that could help you locate your biological parents.
