On Jan 7th i moved out of my apartment to a new complex. Upon moving out we had already given a forwarding address twice. We failed to do a walk through due to only 1 person working in the office (Yes our mistake). Our debit card was used to pull our money out on the due date so figured we would be charged for our remaining bills upon leaving. We happened to show up the next day because we forgot something and they had already started painting (an employee that worked there was painting)

On April 25th we were then contacted by a collection agency. They stated that we owed charges for:

Rent Due: 255.73 (Prorated 8 days)
Late fee: 100
Sewer and h20: 17.24 and 18.73
Cleaning: 250.00
Painting: 220.00
Carpet: 980.00

My first question is:

Is 900sqfeet apartment with the kitchen and bathroom being tiled cost 980 for carpet?

Does it cost 233 and 220 to clean 2 rooms? (kitchen and bathroom since they replaced carpet)

They never sent us a bill until the collection agency did.

Does the non-custodial parent still have to pay when the child gets in trouble and sent away while in the custody of the other parent. The non-custodial parent is willing to take custody, but it may be too late now, with all the trouble the kids are in. This is in the state of Iowa, if that helps at all.

I work in a grocery store as a cashier. My manager recently started dating one of the other cashiers. Him and the other cashier have all of a sudden turned on another cashier and I. I have been employed with the company for 5 years and have and ok record. As in no major complaints or anything. The manager is now taking a personnal interest in who the other cashier and I are talking to and what we are doing. It was never an issue until he started dating this woman. She is making comments like "the **** is going to hit the fan" and heads are going to roll. We can't go to the owner of the store because he thinks that the manager walks on water and could never do any wrong. Does anyone know what else we could do. The manager won't even let us talk to each other. Or certain other employees while we are on company time. HELP!!!!

While I think that the government had an idea of what might happen, and certainly could've taken more precuations pre-9/11, it's all hindsight and I really can't believe that many American people working for the governing would knowingly kill three thousand civilians. Is there any real convincing evidence? I'm not a huge fan of our government, I know they do illegal things all the time, but I think to say 9/11 was caused by Americans is a pretty low blow.

Violations would include: Denial of Due Process, Denial of Equal Protection, Denial of Free Speech, and other civil rights violations. Also would any statute of limitation be changed or extended if felonious/ criminal activities were involved in this denial of rights (such as fraud and conspiricay)? While I have been told that the statute of limitation on most all discimination claims and clauses in various laws is 6 months, I can not get a clear and accurate answer if this applies to Constitutional/ Bill of Rights violations also. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

This proves the justice system is flawed and downright unjust. I know there are many people who still say he did it but you have no proof to back it up. Innocent until proven guilty unless you get a civil court jury full of incompetents.

I was looking for a job in the paper and came across an ad to work for the USPS. I called and it sounded like a great oppertunity so I registered for the test. They said I would be charged a refundable $99 and a non- refundable fee of $23 for shipping and handling and cost of the study materials. Please tell me this sounds right!

I was listening to a talk show on the radio. Yhey were dicussing a woman who kept driving even though she had EIGHT convictions for DWI. She was driving drunk, got into an accident, and killed some people.

I called into the show and said that I felt the first conviction for DWI should be loss of your car and a year in jail. Second conviction should mean you are in jail for the rest of your life.

The man running the talk show said I was crazy, that that was way too much. What do you think?

The people who will end up getting the raw end of the deal with this bridge collapse are the people of Minnesota. The injured will sue for a large amount of money and the tax payers will have to dish the money out. There taxes were supposed to be going to make sure that this didnt happen. A prison term for the mayor would hold him accountable for not making sure that the money from the tax payers went to help the roads. Now there are at least 4 dead tax payers.

After my child is born in Jan of 2008, about 2-3 months after I want to get my child baptized as a catholic under their God parents, and I know that a baptized isnt a legal document. So I wanted to make the God parents legal if something were to happen to me and my husband, so I figured legal guardianship. So I was wondering how to I establish it? How do I make it legal? I know to go to the court house, but what to ask for? I live in the State of Maryland. I just want to make sure everything is perfect, and my child will have a place to go if anything were to happen, so I do want to make it legal, and not have something that the grandparents have to fight for...

RAF mechanic Kenneth Ecott was acquitted of raping a girl on the grounds that he has 'sexsomnia', a pseudo-sounding condition, which meant that he involuntarily carries out sexual actions in his sleep. What research has been done into this condition? Is it just the word of those who claim to have it that has deemed that is it a real condition? His girlfriend's testimony that he had fondled her is not proof that it, or this incident, was actually involuntary.

I'm going to some this up and avoid the excuses on why i did it ext.

I'm 17 years old and my girlfriends parents were buying a house. The land-lord gave them the leese contract. My girlfriends mother signed it and moved to another part of the house, and the father not exactly wanting to commit, convinced me to sign a totally randomized signature because since im 17 theres no way i could get in trouble. The mother found out and now she thinks she might loose the 4000 she put down on the house. I need to know if i can get in any kind of trouble if i was breaking the law. Whats the worst that could happen to me if the mother takes the father to court or something like this?
