Baby Safe Haven, Baby Moses, Baby Drop-Off Programs
Some people claim that laws providing for the legal abandonment of infants at baby safe havens will save lives. Is that true? How will the results be measured? What are the arguments against what are sometimes called the "baby Moses", "baby drop-off" or "baby dump" laws?
Families Need Protection From Baby Safe Haven
With only one option provided, no questions asked and no help provided, frightened young moms are giving birth on their own and then doing the best they know how for their newborn sons and daughters by abandoning them at fire stations, churches, hospitals. Billed as a protection for both mothers and babies, in fact not only mothers and babies but also fathers need protection from this law.

I am a union worker for a factory, about 6 or 7 months ago our shop steward was terminated and we have not had one since, I was told this is against our rights, and we could sue the union for this. Does anyone know about it?

I am a freelance writer who was writing reviews, and a website asked if I would work for them for free. I agreed and posted several reviews. On his webpage, alongside my text, is the website name and a copyright symbol.

Personal issues aside, I am now with another website. Do I have the right to repost my work verbatum on another website? Never at any time did I sign anything or agree that I would be relinquishing my rights to my work. Plus I worked for free. Can anyone advise? I was with a small site, and am now with a large one, and Im concerned about this.

I'm going to try and keep this as generalized as possible so people can answer. Literally...

For those who scream and squak that there is/was a conspiracy and/or cover-up...where exactly do you come up with these assumptions?

If I told you, which I'm going to, that you CAN NOT claim proof/evidence/facts based on any medium including but not limited to youtube, conspiracy theorists movies, conspiracy theorists websites and/or idle chat among other conspiracy theorists...

Can and/or will you still claim that there's a conspiracy/cover up that our current administration had presiding over 9/11?

And if so, what evidence or proof do YOU have with the options listed above being unusable to support your claim?

Seriously, I am at a loss. I am not by any means a "church goer", but I do know my history.

How is it possible that all of our framers were Christian, yet they did not put their own personal beliefs in our constitution? I mean really people, you might not like today's Christian right, but that does grant you the ability to change History.

In MY opinion and past experience, the ONLY one of these laws that cannot be scorned with impunity to ANY degree is the "Laws of Physics" ... Ignoring or breaking THESE laws may cause Demon or Human alike to INSTANTLY perish. THIS Life is ALL that we have, in either Your world or Mine... BE WARNED.

There was a court case in which a principal banned students from wearing black arm bands as a declaration against the actions in Vietnam. It was deemed unConstitutional under the 1st Amendment. So would the right of students to have peircings also be protected? Alternately, if you could put me in touch with an Indiana Lawyer who does pro bono work, that'd be great.

Theoretically speaking, I was curious what crimes an American could be charged with if they took their victim to a foreign country, one without an extradition treaty with the United States, killed them and left the body there, and then came back home to the US?

To keep it clear, lets say the murder was not premeditated and all aspects of the crime took place in that foreign country.

i work in surrey at the moment and own a house in mansfield. the people who i rent the house to have gone on holiday. i came back to do an inspection on the place and to my horror a 6 foot high fence has been erected along the entire length of the boundary line between the two houses, thus, blocking off the access to the back yard for my car. the fact that the house has/had off street parking and a functional garage was a major selling point and i fear i may have lost value on the house.
so do i go to the council or go to my solicitor. should i confront my neighbour directly? any input would be much appreciated.

Here is the deal: my mom and I go to the same general practitioner, I've only been seeing the doctor for a couple of years (as opposed to my mom who has been there much longer). I am now 18. When my mom goes to see the doctor, she and the doctor talk about me (and my health issues, including my use of marijuana). Now both she and my doctor are "telling" me that I need to go in for regular urine tests to test for THC. I have told them that I don't intend to stop using marijuana anytime in the immediate future. I know the health/legal risks associated with marijuana. My parents and my doctor have made me do this before; I took a break from smoking for a while just to please them. But I don't intend on stopping this time. What can my doctor do? Is she allowed to be discussing this with my parents even though I am NOT a minor anymore? To me this seems to be a slippery slope concerning the ethics of doctor patient confidentiality.

i see perfectly clearly why its illegal to sell drugs, but why is it illegal to use them, i mean if its legal to try and kill yourself, than why isnt it legal to use drugs, cuz youre pretty much doin the same thing, but only with a lot slower results, and sometimes not that much slower at all

I have been taking care of my grandmother since 2005, and have been getting paid by IHSS (In Home Supportive Services) in the State of California. But recently (around April of this year), she's been diagnosed with cancer in the pancreas, and she's been goin' back and forth from the hospital to the nursing home. She's currently stationed at a nursing home (hopefully on a temporary basis) and I visit her everyday to carry out my daily chores (meal preparation, laundry, cleaning her dentures, keeping her company, etc.) before, in-between, and after school - assuming that I may still be eligible for IHSS payments. It's now August, and I'm apprehensive towards my eligibility with IHSS. I've been attempting to contact social services to no avail, and now I'm just worried. I'm a full-time student on overload, and I'm stressed. What can I do, and how do I tackle my situation? Do I have to pay back the payments I've been receiving since April, and/or do I just stop getting paid altogether?

No, and there are a number of reasons why. People some people don't choose to be drug addicts, they (like homos) are born drug addicts because of their parents or sumthin. Drug addicts won't hurt you. They just sit at home doing and its not their fault. They aint bothering you or doing crimes, yet they are put in prison with all these murdurers, robbers, criminals, child abusers, and all these bad people and that is NOT fair.

I'm talking microchips, actually they may be the very chips that can cause a rat to change from walking in a straight line to a certian direction (operated by a remote computer). This is very possible now.

Remember in prison you have no rights basically, so they could force you to have the implant in there!

The news and government would most likely tell you how important & good they are and the old phrase 'If you're innocent you'll have nothing to worry about'.. "Kids would never go missing again" etc, etc..

About a year ago we received a check in the mail saying that i had won some money around 3,000 in a lottery drawing. We tried to cash the check at the bank but then my account was placed on hold because the band said that the check was counterfeit. Now about a year later i am receiving letters from companys saying that they want to help me because i am about to be sued by the bank for money they never gave us.We called the bank to confirm that they are in fact trying to sue me. I am 17 years old and i dont have a job. Is it possible that they wont be able to sue me so they will instead sue my parents?
