TIny accident involving one younger driver, one older. Older takes insurance from younger saying she may call if she ahs any problems....Older later calls my insurance company and says, :what do I do with the bill: (she is talking of going to see about a sore neck) My insurance company (basically laughs) and says nothing because there is no claim. Then asks her about the damage. They ask the woman if I hit her hard, "no" they ask her what the damage to the cars was, "none"
My insurance company thinks the situation is odd.

What I don't understand is that a close family member was in a real wreck on the highway recently, received extensive damage to the back of her car and had no medical problems. But the car was messed up and the person who hit her was going fast.
Do you think she's just trying to make a quick buck and take advantage of a young driver?

My husband and I filed bankruptcy for our credit cards. We kept our home and cars. Our neighborhood has become very dangerous and we put the house up for sale but stopped paying the mortgage because we will be moving sep 1. The mortgage is now 2 months behind, our bankruptcy case was confirmed March 2007. I just got a letter in the mail to return to court aug 30 because washington mutual (our second mortgage) has filed a relief from the automatic stay. What does this mean? I also noticed the bank that I have my car loan through is on the bottom it says subject to lien. Does anyone know what this could all mean? I will contact my attoorney tomorrow but in the mean time I wanted to get some info. Thanks in advance.

I'm 23, & my 16-yr. old step-niece asked me to take a picture of her wearing a shirt with her belly showing. Is this wrong? I see plenty of teens with their bellies showing. I thought it was the new fashion trend or style. My sister got mad & went off on me & threatened to sue me for soft child porn. Do you think she blew th situation out of proportion? I had no wrong intentions. & my step-niece ASKED me to take a pic showing her belly. Could I go to jail for this?

Before I put my 2 weeks notice in...I was employed by an Apartment Management company. I was there during the selling and new ownership of the property. I stayed around and they raised me to Assistant Property Manager and were going to hire a leasing agent for me. Well, the only resume that was received was of a very nice and professional black lady. I was for her being hired...however, they didn't want to hire her due to the fact she was black. They told me that they were worried that it would hurt their potential leasing and bother the current residents if there was a black girl in the office. They did hire her...but then soon after she got fired. Due to this comment and other incidents with this company--is there anything I can do to maybe bring this to someones attention?? Nevertheless, they accused me of being racist after telling them to hire her!!! Which that was humiliating enough---My husband is Spanish and my best friend in the whole world is black. What can I do???

So here's the scenario:

My girlfriend is at college in Mississippi. I go to a college in Pennsylvania. Let's say some guy manages to slip a roofie into her drink, then takes her home and rapes her.

I get on a plane, find him, and beat the living sh*t out of him. I mean break his nose, maybe knock a tooth out...

Would I get off easy in court? I mean, he raped the girl I love!

This is all hypothetical, of course. I mean, if it really did happen, the guy would be dead. No question.

Theres a woman I care for who is servely obese, she wieghs almost 600lbs. Obviously she has some health problems and isnt very mobile. Recently she had a bad fall and it took over 3 hrs just to get her off the floor. We live in a very small town and theres not really EMTs but there are ambulance volunteers. They were not equipped for a person her size and thats why it took so long to get her up. After she was hospitalized both ambulance and fire companies sent a letter to the Manor where she lives telling them that they no longer will be responsible for her in case of an emergency. So now that she is a liability to the Manor they have chosen to evict her and she now has until the end of this month to find a new place to live. Can they do that? Isnt that some kind of discrimination? I mean they helped that 1000 lb man with no complaints why does she have to suffer?

Tehran, 3 August (AKI) - A young Iranian who was searching for his lost puppy in a Tehran neighborhood has been arrested and ordered to stand trial for 'moral corruption'.

"Looking for a lost dog indicates the spread of a corrupt culture, which indirectly popularises keeping a dog at home, something that is completely foreign to the culture and Isamic tradition," said Tehran police spokesman, Mehdi Ahmadi.

My landlord lives in the same building as us. The past few summers I have caught him shooting at the geese and ducks that roam our yard (we have a semi-large pond in the back). Last year he killed one, and he just killed another one.

I've called the police on him, several times...(anonymously, as to not start a feud.) He told me once, that he thinks it's the neighbor (backyard, across the street) that calls the cops on him...AND he told me that the COP told him to do it inside his house with the sliding door cracked open, so no one would see him!

SO, obviously the cops aren't doing anything. I wanted to take a picture of the dead goose to have proof, but he disposed of it too quickly, and before I knew it, it was gone.

What else can I do!??!?!?!

This past May my friend had asked me to live with him in his apartment for the summer and I agreed, as he and I both knew I was trying to move out of my house for the summer before I went back to school in the fall. Rent and utilities were discussed briefly, and since his parents pay both on his behalf, I had assumed whatever rent and utilities I pay would be forwarded to them or paid to them directly. After I moved down there and settled in, he became fixated on me not letting his parents know I was down there, not to pay them and to pay him instead, etc, etc. So basically he wanted me down there to pay rent to HIM so he could make a quick buck while I was down there. Since he does not pay rent himself (his parents do) , and I have no signed lease or contract with him personally, and since he misled me as to who was going to be receiving rent/utilities, is there anything that could legally bind me into paying rent and utilities to him? His parents had no knowledge i was down there.
