So my sons papa called cause he got vacation and wanted taken my 11yr old for a week even tho they just had a week with him. i told them that because they let my son spend 6-8 hrs on a pc against my wishes i said no and he hung up. Then he stops by my place and when i tell him my son has Karate class on Saturday he f u and throws and ice cappuccino at me(and i'm pregnant), ruining my carpet and furniture. The smell is unbearable and i have to steam clean everything and it'll take 2 days and its also an added expense out of my pocket.
I filed a police report and they asked me if i wanted to file charges for assault but i said no but now i wondering was what he did really assault? and what would you do if this happened to you?

I bought something via ebay which cost me $450. The person claim to have shipped it although he can't provide proof of it. I was stupid enough to pay him via money order.

I want to take him to small claims court but I will need to travel to his state on the court date, if I win the case can I also include the cost of my travel plus times I have to take off from work to attend the court in the claim?

I have been trying for a week to talk to him about taking a settlement, but he wont. So just to get this off my credit, I asked him if I could come in and pay and he refuses to give me a total, saying there is interest and court costs. I do not feel I owe this because he didnt even do my case and I paid all my filing fees, but I am willing to pay it to clean my credit. Anyways, he is refusing to give me a call back or tell me the final $$ amount and I am at wits end with him. Can anyone advise me?

I am statying in a hostel type thing, There is a fire exit at the front and rear of the house. The Front door only has a handle from the inside, and is only accessable from the outside by means of a key. The backdoor is on the far side of the kitchen. The kitchen door is frequently (approx 21hrs a day).

I have to question the legality of this. any comments?

Also what rights does my landlord have to enter my room almost every time i leave the building and root through my stuff? Do i not have rights to privacy?

My husband and his ex wife are fighting over how much child support we should send her we are in Oklahoma. He is now making around minimum wage working part time because of a health problem so I make most all of the money in our household. This is over one child and he spends about 6 nights per month here in our house.

Does she have a legal right to come after my income?

Thanks in advance

My lawyer told me that the judge was going to let him attempt service by publication, and then the insurance company would have to settle with me. I just found out that the case was dissmissed because my lawyer did not serve the defendant. The lawyer has not responded to me, and he never notified me about the case being dissmissed.

Ok so i have a 4yr old son (born in minnesota) that has my last name and his fathers last name (Marc Schneider Anders). Well, i would like to change my name legally and also his to something completley different since i'm applying for my US citizenship i do have the opinion to legally change my name. So his new name would be Marc Scott. Now my question is, with his father not living in the same state as my son and i ( we live in missouri and he lives in south dakota) could i go ahead and just change my sons name or would i have to get a approval from his father!? His dad and i have never been married or gone to court regarding custody or anything like that. I lived in minnesota with his dad and then moved away when my son was 1yr old and we've been in missouri ever since and i really want to change my and his last name. What would the legal procedures be for that?! Can i do something like that without his father?!

I have a friend that just brought a house, before this he was living in an appartment in Jacksonville, Fl. I know that he gave more then enough notice and left the appartment clean. He had some issues with the landlord, such as people messing with his boat, almost couldn't get repairs done and had to deal with loud neighbors. Now the landlord is not returning the deposit and telling him he owes another 700.00. The landlord did a walk through without my friend present. What should he do, and is it the tenant that is to clean the outside parking area, which he told me looks the same as all the rest. I don't know what to tell him, so if anyone can tell me, I will appreciate any answers. Thank You.
