I bought something via ebay which cost me $450. The person claim to have shipped it although he can't provide proof of it. I was stupid enough to pay him via money order.

I want to take him to small claims court but I will need to travel to his state on the court date, if I win the case can I also include the cost of my travel plus times I have to take off from work to attend the court in the claim?

Purchase insurance... well if you pay via paypal there is insurance but if you pay via any other method there is not insurance. Like I said, it was stupid.

But David brought up an interesting question, if I bought on Ebay do I file in the seller's city or mine? Cause if it is mine, then it would work out great.

Why not file in your state? That is where the purchase occurred.
