Theres a girl whos making rumours about me can i press charges??

situation: so-called friend asked to cash check for him because he did not have a checking account, said he's been working there for awhile and that everything is good to go, had check in my name, now I'm charged with a felony charge.. I did not know he was setting me up and did not know he was using me. I had no knowledge of what he was trying to do at all. I cannot believe how incredibly naive I was. he kept reassuring me that check was "real," but was not valid at all.

what should I do? I have a Public Defender representing me and cannot afford a real lawyer. i am a full time student and have never done anything wrong before my entire life.

I got pulled over a couple months ago for going 38 in a 25 I still don't believe I was going that fast.. anyways my dash lights were all burnt out when I went to the dealership they told me it was some switch and it would cost about 300 to fix I couldn't afford it so i put it off. well the night I was pulled over I was on a very very dark road no other cars were on that road at the time I could not see any of the dash. .Since then I have gotten the lights fixed and I have a receipt it was actually my bulbs and I got it done for way less than what the dealership quoted. I can't get this ticket I have a pretty bad driving record and if I get another moving violation dmv will suspend me for 45 days and I'm a single mom who works fulltime and I take my daughter to school everyday..
please tell me what you think I should do I'm so nervous about court and I really believe I'm not guilty help!!!

then you really better be very strongly against the war in Iraq. Otherwise, you're just a racist HYPOCRITE who supports the murder of innocent children...just so long as they are Iraqi children.

or do you think it's OK to kill innocent children if you claim to have a good reason, or if it makes someone else's life better, or more convenenient? because if you do...you have to be pro choice, don't you?

I'm so sick of flyers and flyers and flyers every time I get my mail. I want to scream. I keep getting ads for Charter (cable co.) and stupid catalogs I've NEVER ordered from (and never will). Seriously every single day of my life there are 2-5 flyers and catalogs in my mailbox. I can't afford the trash bags to keep throwing them away.

Is there any legal way to get them to stop, like a do not call list for your phone?

Can you really mail them back, using return-to-sender? Will the post office honor return to sender?

I am in need of a custody attorney in Boone,North Carolina. The problem is that I need to find one that would donate their time to my case. My husband and I are disabled and have limited income. My grandbabies lives are hanging in the balance and are with someone who made a false report to get custody of them. The are with someone that is violent and that has a history of such. Also they are exposed to persons who use illegal drugs and abuse alcohol on a daily basis. Please If you know of lawyer that is willing to save 2 babies of 27 months and 16 months old please let me know.

i have had this teacher for 2 years, she is constanly picking on me in class, grades me unfaily compared to my friends, yelled at me for not turning in and assigment, took away my cell phone(it says nothing about cell phones in my schools handbook) and i wasnt even using it. I am about an A or B student and alwayshave been the class im in of hers i have always gotten a A. I have brought it up to the principal and when she borught the teacher in to talk with her she compleately changed. She was way nicer was almost to nice to me. My mom also told this teacher to call her if i was missing any asighnments and hasnt went i was missing some. This teacher has also lied to me and my mom about my grades. She also treats my friend this way who has gone through the exact thing. the same friend and i are also in a program together and she is the superviser of it for my school.

Should they legalize marijuana in the US and have them sell it in the liquor stores?

I personally think that marijuana is alot better for you than alcohol and marijuana doesn't make you get aggressive and violent like alcohol does and I do believe that smoking a few joints of pot is a good stress reliever.

I know people who smokes pot and they seem to be really laid back and content with themselves and I've seen people who are alcoholics and they seem to be totally messed up and unhappy with themselves.

i live in indiana my landlord said that the dirtbike i have in ,my room must be removed becouse its a fire risk. ive removed the gas and all the oil, is there a real law that states i cant have a bike in the house becouse of fire risks? if so where does it stop does that mean i cant have a heater or an rc car they both have gas. thank you for your time !!!

This security guard accessed my address on the schools computer and made a false complaint to dyfus and the police against me, I belive i also lost my job because they consisered this a legal issue and it was a code of eithics vilation, it took 9 monhts for them to close my case and now i want justice...help me i need the best legal advice i can get i have a mark on my record now with this as a backround check help help help help help help help

I heard that Wisconsin is not part of some interstate highway agreement. So, all tickets I get in Illinois (or any other state) will not affect my Wisconsin driver's license. I plan to move to Illinois, but keep my Wisconsin driver's license and register my car to my parent's address in WI. Does this make sense?

Also, if something doesn't show up on my Wisconsin driving record, does that mean the insurance company doesn't see it either?

I hate to have the Pope's name involved with these tyrants, But being as an estimated 6,000,000 jews were put to death from Hitlers decisions and 3,000,000 muslims were put to death by Bush's decisions. Would you consider Bush more as an evil dictator as Hitler or would you consider him more like the Peaceful Pope John Paul? Hitler was in power for 12 years and Bush has only been in power for 7 years. So if you do the math. 3,000,000 is only an estimate but it is surely alot of individual people and families he has hurt.. If you think otherwise, please tell me the difference since you know so much. Please tell me all that is on your mind. If this is too tough of a question for you than you can go back to arranging your stock portfolios.

As a true American, it's his or her job to speak against anything that is wrong with our Government and not turn blind eye and be loyal because it's our Government or Made in the USA. For example, If we continue to support the U.S. car manufacturer even though they are screwing the American consumers by DELIBERATELY making crappy cars (especially in the 70s), why would they every want to improve? It's the same with our Government. We have to speak up and not support when it's doing Americans harm.
