Freedom of speech ensures that the government cannot persecute someone for speaking their mind. It does not preclude the speaker of said mind of being ridiculed for the idiocy espoused.

The Religious, Republican Thinkers, and believers that each person should earn his own way, are under attack by the Liberals who want to destroy Religion, the middle class who have proved that anyone who really tries can make a living, and those who Love and display Loyalty towards Our Country, are Hated and Attacked.
Free Speech is also demonstrated by flying the American Flag at ones home.
Just look at what happened recently in Connecticut when three Yale University Students set an American Flag on fire while it was still attached to someones home. If it wasn't for some Local Policemen spotting the fire, and the arsonists, the People in the house could have died.
Yale University, where a Known Terrorists is a Welcomed Student by the Liberal Professors, and its Administration.

I don't agree with a lot of things you said, since the fossil record doesn't back your claim that Native Americans evolved in the US rather than Africa. If you are referring to your religion then I need to see proof that it is true, and you can't use the stories of the religion to prove that it is true, that is just like trying to prove that the bible is true by using quotes from the bible.
As to your question; many Americans don't understand the First Amendment, they don't realize that you can't give the freedom out to just the people you want to hear from and not the rest. The ACLU may have hated everything that the Nazi party stood for, but when they were denied a chance to peacefully protest the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) defended them, and won the case.
Thus the statement; "I may not agree with what you say, but I will die for your right to say it."
I served 8 years in the US Army and I had a long time to thing about my commitment to all that the Oath required of me, including the Constitution and its Amendments. I had to decide that I would be willing to die to defend those freedoms and just as important that I would kill someone else to defend those freedoms.
I was never physically called upon to serve in combat, but my mere presence and the knowledge that I would follow my oath was a huge factor in preventing the Cold War from breaking out into a hot one. Those that serve can't do it without support. Part of that support was staying near home and guarding the families of the troops who were serving elsewhere. It wasn't very glamorous and quite cold, but I also had my contribution to the war.
In the same way I have to allow EVERYONE to have their freedom of speech, even those that I don't like or consider to be fools. The only way you can pick and chose which person can exercise those freedoms is if they abridge the freedom of someone else. Another words I will let you have your thoughts and speak your mind; I may even listen to them. I will let you have that freedom right up to the point when you try to force your beliefs on me. Then your freedom of speech and religion ends.

All I can say is its a good thing Rosie O'Donnell is sooooo much smarter than the hundreds of people who witnessed the events of 9/11, not to mention the investigations carried out by dozens of independent and government agencies. You know what hit the Pentagon? A plane. A big Boeing 737 slammed into that building while people watched, suggesting otherwise is an insult to those who lost their lives and to my intelligence.
There is a theory that Native Americans came over the land bridge because that is what the vast majority of paleontological evidence suggests. In fact I have never heard any evidence to the contrary of that theory.

Because people want to control everyone else. They don't realize that the only freedom you truly have is that which you allow to others. I don't condone lawbreaking and never have. Do what you want within the law. Don't take away our rights as citizens. Don't ever apologize for saying what you believe because you are not only lying to yourself but you are lying to God and Country. If you exercise your constitutional rights and practice what you preach and live what you believe, the world will be a better place for all of us.
The truth will come out regarding 9/11/01 but will we know it when it does?

Here is a perfect example:
Rosie is a Misfit who takes advantage of her standing
in the TV world to try to make wrong into right. There are
so many misguided people that will believe them because
they are on TV. Well, they are just people with no more brain
power than yours. Don't pay any attention to them. You get
a lot of trash TV nowadays.
I can say this because I have "Freedom of Speech"

Your question is confusing. What has history saying native americans immigrating from Asia got to do with free speech, or come to that "the bible being under fire" Shouldn't people have the right to criticise the Bible or believe this 'misinformation' about the arrival of native americans?
Your right to free speech is rightly protected in law. So is your right to disagree with other's opinions - and their right to disagree with yours.

people don't like hearing the truth It makes them feel bad. Clinton made people feel comfortable since they didn't have to live up to a higher standard because Billy boy was getting his jollies in the Oval office.
However when it comes to "Rosie's truth" she should be shot down. She is so full of hate and lies that it is disgusting.
I heard a long time ago that a time will come when "good will be bad and bad/evil will be called good." I think we are there!

You just said it yourself. Put downs are freedom of speech as well. Are you really that isolated that you don't think anybody should disagree when a controversial opinion is stated? That's America my friend. Most liberals are quite the crybabies when somebody disagrees with them. They are that presumptuous in their attitude about politics that they assume everyone agrees with their opinions. It's an immaturity and presumptuousness that you do not see among conservatives.

Freedom of speech goes both ways. It means you can express a political opinion. It also means others can express the same opinion, agree with you OR they can express a different opinion and disagree with you. It's uncomfortable when someone expresses an opinion that you disagree with or they do it in such a way as to put down your opinion. However, that's all part of freedom of speech. I disagreed with almost everything you said and the way you said it. However, I totally understand the premise of your question and support your right to discuss it. Your right to be different from me validates my right to be different from you and our right to express it regardless of who agrees with us.
