If she is your English teacher, then yeah, maybe. But seriously - no. She is your teacher, and is most likely looking out for your best interests - whether you realize it or not. She grades you unfairly compared to your friends? Do you do equal work? Your grade is based on YOUR performance. You should turn in all your assignments, and you shouldn't bring a cell phone to class, even if you aren't using it. By the way - if you weren't using it, then how did she know you had it? You should leave it in your backpack or locker.

Well, some of these charges aren't reallu objective - you may not like her grading system or the grades she gives you, but that doesn't mean she's being unfair; did she really yell (raise her voice to shouting level) or did she just admonish you for those late assignments; had she warned the class that cell phones were not permitted, and did she confiscate it for the class or forever; etc. So I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt on some of these.
But she doesn't sound like the greatest teacher, either, and clearly the principal agreed with you to some extent, judging by the teacher's improved behavior afterwards.

Even if she has reverted to her old ways, it's not a fireable offense. If she is really that unpleasant again, inform the principal, and the principal can reprimand her again, or refuse to renew her contract for the next year (unless she's been around a long time and has tenure, then it's much harder to get rid of her).

Talk to the principal and ask if you can find another advisor for the program - if another teacher is willing to take it over, you can probably get her to switch.

What have you done to irritate her? Have you disrupted class by talking or having your cell phone ring?

The teacher has developed a dislike for you, and I have to think you are not completely innocent in all of this.

If I were you, after class one day, I would ask the teacher if you could talk to her. Ask her if there's anything you have done to make her mad at you. Is there some way that you could improve and make things better?

That will put the ball in her court, and if she knows that you are sincere about it, her attitude towards you will most likely change. Just be sure you don't say those things with a smart aleck attitude or say it insincere or you'll only make things worse for wasting her time. Good luck, hope you get ironed out.

It sounds to me as though the situation is this:
You need to pay attention in class.

How could the teacher take your cell phone if it were not according to your school's policy? If it sounds and disrupts class, you lose it. If you text message on it in class or during a test, you lose it. Your school is bound to have a policy about cell phones.

Why don't you do your work? Why should your teacher have to call your mom to tell her you're missing assignments? Why don't you grow up and do what's right?

How has this teacher lied about your grades?

Here's how I read the situation: The situation is your fault, and no one is on your side--including your mom. So you come to YA to see if you can get some support.

Clean up your act. Do you work. Turn the cell off in class.

In all politeness and no insult intended, if the poor grammar and spelling in your question are normal for you, you are definately not an A student. CELL PHONE IN CLASS? In my school days cell's didn't exist but guaranteed it would have been lots of detentions if not worse for having it in class. You
are there to learn, not yap with friends. The teacher had to have some reason to take it away as she didn't simply search you to see if you had it and then took it. There is certainly more than you are telling us.

Wow, if she's an English teacher I'd say you deserve the grade based on your grammer and spelling in your question. You ramble around and aren't making a strong argument for yourself.
I did have one teacher when I was in high school that I knew didn't see eye to eye with me and I begged my counselor to get me moved to another teacher. I suppose you could always try that.

If you are worried about the way the teacher talks to you, record it. If you're worried about your grades, keep the papers and show them to your parents. Have you told your mom all of this? Tell her how worried you are and tell her that you really need her to get more involved. A lot of teachers talk to students differently when the parents are around.

Well it sounds like your teacher has a way of treating students, and a way of treating adults. This doesn't surprise me too much, but I would investigate the misrepresenting of your grades. It is possible that she made a mistake.

I personally think that this teacher should be fired for the way she was treating you, a teacher should never favor some of the students over the others.

yes i would definitely think she should have been fired because to treat you unfairly that just is not right you did the right thing by reporting her to the principle!!!! (ex use the spelling gramme mistake please)!!!!! i have had the similar situation happen to me when i was younger in the 3rd grade!!!!!!
