Your neighbor is messing with you.

The fact that you say you don't THINK you have committed any crimes is a bit worrisome. I'm pretty sure that if I committed a crime, I would remember it, unless of course I had committed so many crimes that I lost track of them all.

Be afraid... be very afraid...

It could have been some investigator doing some research to complete a background check on someone applying for a security clearance.

Or

Maybe you know of someone who is now in trouble with the law and they have sent an investigator to ask questions about them.

But don't worry about it, unless you have committed a crime and are afraid of getting caught.

Um, if it was an unmarked car, why does it mean anything? Tons of cars pass by my house every day....
If it looked like a police car and they didn't leave anything, they'll come back if they need to. Maybe they just need to ask you a question?
You can't really "think" you haven't commited any crimes..either you have or you haven't.

the same thing happened to me, except my neighbor sd one officer went to the front door and another to the back door. I dont know why, i called the police station and and they couldnt tell me why either. Its possible it could be a thief, cking out whether anyone was home. Luckily for me they never came back.

Did they get out of the car, or did they just park in front of it? They may have been parking in front of your house to observe a different residence, further down the street.

Well. It all depends. Is there any like teensy-weensy thing you forgot about? Perhaps you did a deal and didn't really know your dealer?

Maybe you know something that you don't know you know. But the cops think you know, but they don't know you don't know. But someone knows something and sent the cops over.

Or, they made a mistake and they're looking for the previous occupant.

Most cars are unmarked. Maybe they had the wrong address or something, or were trying to sell you something. I wouldn't worry about it.
