Dennis Kucinich who is a Democrat hopeful for President, has proposed a hand gun ban. http://kucinich.house.gov/News/DocumentSingle.aspx?DocumentID=62819
It is obvious that this is a response to the recent Blacksburg massacre. Isn't this another example of a politician taking advantage of our fear and emotions to pass legislation that is infringing on our constitutional rights? Isn't this what Democrats accused Republicans of doing with the passage of the Patriot Act and the fears of terrorism that went along with it?

My son tried to break in a house a week ago and got caught red handed.

The owner decide that he'll settle out of court. So he invited me over to his house yesterday to discuss this.

I was shocked that he asked for 15,000 to repair his large bay window. My son used a large cinder block and crowbar to break through the custom made window bars then he smash specific type of glass for window that cost more than average.

It disgust me because this man is a professional fighter and not even in his 30's yet. Yet he have all this expensive stuff and didn't contribe to social. He doesn't need this ridiculous expensive bay window. So is it legal if I tell him I'll replace it to minimal require or not? I'm sure it can be replace for lower thousands of dollars if he use regular products instead of custom made.

Or can he take me to court and make me pay more for all other crime charges my son did?

A former attorney friend of mine told me that I can re-file a small claims court case that I lost... is this true? I filed the case, and then due to illness, I did not show up at the hearing, neither did the defendent. The judge ruled against me. I then filed a motion to vacate the judge's decision, and again I was ruled against. My friend, a former attorney, told me to simply re-file the case, the same case in the same small claims court. Can I do this?

I asked a question last night about the morals of capital punishment.

Many people said that I would change my mind if a member of my family were the victim.

Let me tell those people, My father was murdered in front of my mother when I was a young child for speaking up to a stranger in defence of my mother's honour.

No one in my family supports capital punishment because of this. Revenge doesn't give our father back, and having felt the pain of his death, why should we wish the same on the killer's family? They weren't holding the knife.

For those who suppor capital punishment, I'd like to point them to thebest answer to last night's question and then hear their opinions anew.

Ok I put a fully paid for used car in my name for someone so the car is paid for and everything is in my name. I moved out of state (MD) and this idiot ends up getting arrested and the car got towed. I heard this from a friend of his who is trying to help him because he is still in jail and may stay for a very long time.
Now my thing is I wanted the car out my name anyways, I dont want it either. Now the girl is telling me that the towing company will auction it off in maybe 2 weeks. So my question is what is the best thing to do? Just let them auction it off because then it will be out of my name and whatnot. But will that look bad on me somehow? Or should I just release the car to the girl and sign it over to her like she wants me to? Either way Im just looking for the car to be out of my name without making me look bad. All suggestions are welcome!
