Dennis Kucinich who is a Democrat hopeful for President, has proposed a hand gun ban. http://kucinich.house.gov/News/DocumentSingle.aspx?DocumentID=62819
It is obvious that this is a response to the recent Blacksburg massacre. Isn't this another example of a politician taking advantage of our fear and emotions to pass legislation that is infringing on our constitutional rights? Isn't this what Democrats accused Republicans of doing with the passage of the Patriot Act and the fears of terrorism that went along with it?

It seems as there have been more idiots born in The United States since 1950 than since the beginning of this country to 1950. I would imagine that is where we get all these nuts who want to make a difference. A difference they have made to be sure. Don't be so quick to blame only the democrats. Yes, for some of their policies they should receive everlasting punishment. However the same holds true for republicans. A political party is made of two segments. First, power hungry leaders and a following of sheeple. Logic and common sense have long gone by the wayside. In my years I have followed election after election hearing things are going to get better if you vote us in. Did it? Hell no progressively worse. Guns are not the problem. The system in dealing with those who won't or can't perform is . Guess what is coming next. Some nut will want to outlaw penis's because that is what women get raped with.

The key word in the term "knee-jerk" is "jerk."
Playing on people's fears, no matter what party it is, just plain sucks.
