I just saw the Chicago video of the female bartender HORRIBLY beaten by an off-duty cop who was twice her size and drunk, repeatedly kicking her in the face and punching her because she refused him alcohol. This has gone on for far too long.

I am sick of how police get away with these attrocities. Just like the black man in NYC who was gunned down on his wedding day, despite the reports that he was unarmed and non-violent. Or 1991 Rodney King beating. Or the black man gunned down in NYC a few years ago 47 times ,while trying to pick up his wallet.

I myself was a victim of brutality a year ago on April 15th in Oak Hill,WV. A policeman said I ran a stop sign, which I didn't , I made a right turn in fact. So I told him he was wrong and then , in a non-violent manner, complained about the WV police force, I was then jerked from my vehicle, placed under arrest and suffered what is known as "handcuff neuropathy", my hand took 3 months to heal and the formal charges were dropped.

Landlord took me to court yesterday for Non Payment of Rent. Clerk told me I could tell judge my side of case, show evidence etc. Judge didn't listen to word I said, didn't look at any evidence or pictures. Am facing eviction in 3 days because didn't pay rent for house thats: "Uninhabitable", "unsafe", "unhealthy", "unlivable". Asked landlord for repairs 2/6, housing inspector came 2/21-not one repair done. Paid rent on time for 7 yrs & being punished for that. Landlord getting rewarded for unethical behavior. My credits being damaged because landlord wont' do repairs. Being forced to put rent in escrow. Dont want repairs now, just need time to save money/move/find a place to move. Can anyone please help?

I know that it is obviously against the law if you are a landlord renting a unit, but if you are renting a spare bedroom in your own place, can you advertise that you want a certain type of person and deny people based on the fact that you wouldn't want to live with them?

For example if you didn't want someone over/under a certain age, or with kids, or a gay living in your place, can you deny them on those grounds?

Could that be a form of citizens arrest if I were to call the police. I want to place a decoy car with a hide bear trap disguised as the gas pedal to trap car thieves. Would it be legally wrong for me to do it? Is it state (SC) specific?

This is a question about universal Good and Evil. Not about technicality that Bush cannot be punished because he was not charged and therefore no verdict and not a criminal. For those loyal to Bush, it is not about him, it is about what he did. Please remember also that Iraq just like Bush has not been convicted of any crime but Bush attacked and you guys loyal to him said it is OK. Please elaborate on your double standard. Yes the US was attacked on 9/11 but why attacked Iraq for it? The next time the US will be attacked, who will be the next fall guy?
