Just reading an answer where the Brit referred to a photo shop as a chemist and suggested pay an "extra quid or two". May you have some examples of our language differences.

Didn't realizes I'd get a response from across the pond besides hip hop, which nobody understands, what do you find strange with our language?

I'm a Brit. :-)
I believe these are some differences
English American
aerials antenna
nappies diapers
autumn fall
dummy pacifier
trousers pants
biscuit cookie
pavement sidewalk

I am sure there are others but I can't think of any.

And also the answer to the cockney rhyming slang is:

Went for a drink with the lads and got in trouble with the wife, so I took her out for a curry to keep her happy. It cost me a tenner which was ok . We went home and got into the bed and made love. When I got up I couldn't find my shoes.

Yes, and one day we Americans will learn how to really speak English

I can't think of any proper English examples right now but I'm sure "What up dog" and "Where my peeps" is all us baby!

Aren't they adorable? :-) Sometimes I don't know what they're saying, but I like to listen anyway!

Sgt 524: you should start a new thread with that second question. You'll get more responses!

Aren't they just adorable? Since they are no longer colonial warmongers, they are just so squeezable.

I love it when they call us "Yanks." It's adorable.

But how do they know I'm not from Georgia?
