A man from Europe evidently living in Thailand and claimed to have a Thai wife was put in prison for ten years because he was angry that the bars were closed for the kings birthday and he spray painted several pictures of the king of Thailand.

Do you think ten years is too much or not??

No. You have to be smart when you are in a country like Thailand which has laws against defaming their king. He probably won't serve all that time, as the king of Thailand will give him a pardon if he admits his mistake and asks for mercy.
