i had a small faucet leak in my bathtub for about a week, when my landlord came by to see my apt- he saw it and come by the next day to fix it. he said that it was caused because of some repairs he made. a few days later i recieved a copy of the water bill for the last 2 months for the building, and the bill was double from last month. Then told me i was responsible since i had not reported it to him earilier. The building uses the same water heater plus he says i used 100$ worth. my lease says landlord pays for water. can he do this????????/

I have lived in this apartment complex for a little over a month. I have noticed things moved, even things missing. When I asked the landlord about it she said nobody from maintenance had been in my apartment. However, I know someone was in here, and no sign forced entry, without a key. Here's another fact. This landlord in the past has evicted many people by popular vote. See, the landlord is a pastor at a church. Everyone in this development attends her church. But me. I am Pagan. My books are openly displayed, my crystals, my cards, bells, athame u name it. HUD mandates religious tolerance. Herbs have gone missing whatever you have it, and the neighbor directly across the street sits on his patio and stares at my front door non-stop. He knows when I leave, when I have guests, and I have seen numerous people peeking in my windows. And saying things like "the devil is in there". Why can't people just leave me be. I pay my rent on time, everytime, and I am clean. What to do?

I have three 12-round pistol magazines that I bought in Kentucky that I would like to take with me when I get out of the Army and go back to California. As I understand it, the legal magazine capacity under California state law is 10 rounds. I would like to know if I would be allowed to keep them since I bought them legally in another state, or if they would be illegal to own in California regardless.

My husband, 2 kids & I moved in with my grandmother 12 yrs ago to keep her from being put in a conv. hospital after she got sick. The deal was I would provide home care for her in exchange for rent. All was fine untill last year when her sister (who she never got along with) suddenly starts coming around & taking her to her house for visits. I thought it was OK, untill my grandma all of a sudden decided I was treating her wrong & was taking advantage of her & she moved out & moved in with her sis & brother in law. They wanted us to move out. It took us a couple of months, but we bought our own house & moved out, but we still had our stuff in the garage. we moved a few hours away & it was hard to get back there. I found out today that they threw away all of our stuff. We were never evicted, never given any notices of any kind, never told anything. My question is can she legally throw away all my stuff? It hasn't been that long since we moved out that we left the stuff there.

A man was arrested about a few years ago when police found 865,000 hidden in his car. They arrested him saying the money was used for distribution of narcotics. The city kept the money and did who knows what with it. The man was never found guilty;as a matter of fact the case was dropped due to insufficient evidence as to acquisition of the money. With that said he never got his money back.... WHY? Is this not a violation of the Bill of Rights?

Amendment V

First I'm a vegan & religion free & do not realy recognize any
non vegan or religious Gov., But am patriotic to my origin land.
The truth is that those guys intered into their teritory by
trespassing & breaking the intl. laws .
Why did the Britons attacked Iranian embassy today... ! ?
Why did U.S. kidnapped several Iranian diplomats several
times in passed 2 months & took them to Unknown location
for introgation & possible torture ! ? Aren't they bull headed ! ?
I think it is just that the U.S. freeing those hostages first.
Then I hope that all 15 trespassers be released soon after they
& their Gov. appologizing .
Any comments ?

Alright dirty minds...stop right there. I was pulled over today and the police officer let me off with a warning, this has happened to me multiple times and they all happened to be male. The one ticket I received was from a female officer and she was very attitudy with me even when I was nice to her.

What do you think the reasoning behind this is?

My step-grandfather died in december. The will was never read.My step-father recieved some money that had drawen interest and was in his name only. There are four kids and one lived in the house, one in a trailer on the land, one in Illinois, and us (we moved three times). My dad would go and work and wouldn't be feed or offered a drink and when it was lunch time they would eat in front of him.We have been very very poor since like forever. No car or anything. With the money we bought two cars and my dad got some new clothes.Simple stuff that we needed. The family is threatening us to get the money back anyway possible.Supposebly the money was to pay for the son who lived at home.If it was for him then wouldn't it be in his name? The family is cheating him out of what is rightfully his.He is the underdog who is treated like crap and never gets credit for the work he done for them.I'm 16 and this is ruining my parents marriage.Who deserves the money? Why should they get the right to hurt my dad

My friend and her family got a eviction notice from their apartment manager and it does not say what they are being evicted for. They just got it a week ago, and they have been trying to get in contact with the manager, but no luck. So they have 60 days to leave the apartment. They just want to know what rights they have as a renter. What could they do to stop being evicted because they know they are being evicted for nothing.

NEW YORK - Eighteen-year-old Chen Tsu was waiting on a Brooklyn subway platform after school when four high school classmates approached him and demanded cash. He showed them his empty pockets, but they attacked him anyway, taking turns pummeling his face.

He was scared and injured — bruised and swollen for several days — but hardly surprised.

At his school, Lafayette High in Brooklyn, Chinese immigrant students like him are harassed and bullied so routinely that school officials in June agreed to a Department of Justice consent decree to curb alleged "severe and pervasive harassment directed at Asian-American students by their classmates, but the case is far from isolated.

My daughters father is suppose to have our daughter from 12-5pm every other Saturday. Well, he hasn't because he has NEVER been a part of her life, by HIS choice so she is afraid to go with him. Anyway, he has been coming at 2-5pm. ONCE he came at 1pm after I suggested it so they can spend more time together, and he can maybe take her a little later in the visit. He tried to take her as soon as he walked in the door she freaked and barricated herself in her room. Now he is calling and wanting visitation earlier because he has having scheduling problems with his other child. He has put my daughter on the back burner all of her life, everytime he has something with his other children my daughter gets last place. I want my daughter to go with him, but not traumatize her. I have done everything to accomidate him and his life, but now it's getting inconvenient. I know he can get an Enforement Order if the judge goes for it, but it won't be enforced in my town, already checked. Suggestions?

At my high school there are tons of people who have spontaneously become obsessed with the movie "300". Someone (one of my friends) put the downloaded movie on the Student Server, and as I was talking to him about it, he claimed he legally bought it online from the site of the company that produced the movie. He says that since the movie was made with greenscreens and CG, that company has the rights to sell it as they wish.
Since he put the movie on a publicly accessed computer server, the 3800 some-odd students at my school all now have access to it and many have already downloaded it. Is this piracy? Or since my friend "bought" the movie, is it technically okay? If it's not okay and it IS piracy, what kind of consequences could he suffer for this?

Not much to say but basically I was charged with a misdemeanor but I was actually guilty but however ther was a deal worked out where it got dismissed but I had to serve 12 months probation and now the 12 months is over so does that mean, its simply on my record as a dismissed case, and no one can see what exactly it was, therefore I wouldnt have to put it on a job application?
