I was arrested on Valentine's day for DUI and the police added on tickets for running a red light and not wearing my seat belt (even tho the seat belt ticket is bs). My court date is on April 18. My father and I booked a trip to England for May 16-20 back in '06 and now i'm afraid i won't be allowed to go if i get sentenced probation time. Anyone have advice on how i can still go if i do get probation?

People on probation are usually not allowed to leave the state.
You can ask the p/o but don't get your hopes up.

that's between you and the probby officer, he can grant it for you, certainly for a funeral or to accept the nobel peace prize. You're new here and i might not let you go have some fancy vacation, you've put peoples lives in danger.

best thing to do is to get a lawyer to continue your case in court until after your trip otherwise they probably will not let you go!

You can always plea with the judge by asking - although he/she might not grant your request.
