Hypothetically, if someone wrote and posted an untrue message on a public message board and it had the capability of damaging your business, what could you do to get it removed or rectified?

Are we really living in such violent times? If you consider the violence seen by the human race throughout the ages... We are supposedly more sophisticated/ advanced than our ancestors because we don't torture criminals or hand out the death penalty (oh, but what about the rapist human rights). If for example somebody raped and killed my Auntie Gurtrude I would be overjoyed to know that person was going to be hung, drawn and quartered.

If the 'violent' people of today were born 400 years ago they would have been perfectly accepted for stabbing their 'enemy' (think of sword fights) and probably reveared as great warriors.

Everyone is so concerned about playing the game and avoiding doing what's right because if we do stand up to our government and the evil that runs it then we face having our lives ruined. If we stand together as a whole we can take back our country and make it what It should be..... The land of the FREE!!!

I remember a time not too long ago, when you had protection from the unions for fair pay and conditions. Now my Son and Daughter are treated unfaily at work kept on temporary contracts and any other employment scams available. The hospitals are falling apart and Doctors in general don't want to know about the elderly any more. Our rates exceed inflation year by year and we never have enough water even though it rains non stop. We are building crap houses, and don't seem to have learnt from the sixties. Local councils are only interested in profits. Stopping one air flight could contribute more to helping the environment than a weeks collection of cardboard in London, yet the government blames us and is looking to make money from heavy fines for leaving waste paper outside of dumping skips. I could go on, but who feels the same way about our country? Am I Just old and grumpy?

We have been following the police system developed by britishers to suppress our freedom fighters those days for the past 60 years even after britishers left our country. Now in the place of british generals our politicians are there.Eventhough there are some sincere and duty minded police people, they are compromising with the politicians with the fear that they and their family member's life might be at risk(death or harassment) if they go against the politicians. If a new system has to be developed, how should it be?People with innovative ideas are welcome.

I had a back ground check the other day and found I had a felony charge of grand theft filed by my ex-wifes' boyfriend from like 10yrs ago. The police told me I was free to go that VA was not interested in coming to get me. Is there a statute of limitations for grand theft after you have been charged? They have no wittnesses or any thing it was just him and her try'n to start crap ... I mean the warrant had my name wrong hair and eye color wrong at first then refiled it when they talked to my ex wife... What can I do to get this resolved?

My husband was in a bad place 4 years ago, and he did not show up for court when his ex was petitioning for him to sign away his rights to his daughter. I he almost done paying the back child support that he owed. He keeps thinking that he wanted to be there to see his daughter, is it too late for him, as far as legally? The bad part about this is his ex wife works for a family law lawyer, so she gets free legal aid, we dont have the money for a lawyer, is this a lost cause? Please help!! She is 8 years old. The mother says that when she is ready for a relationship with her father, probably when she is a teenager, and ready to take on the responsibility of a mental relationship with him, then thats when they can have a relationship, but who knows how long that will be. She does not want us sending her gifts for her birthday or Christmas, or even letters, not to confuse her. Does ANYONE have any advise?

I asked this because recently I heard about a law of some sort that their trying to pass in California that prohibits anyone from spanking their child if the child is under 5? Anyone else heard about this? I may have the state wrong, but I'm on the east coast, and I'm sure whatever state is was, was out west.
