I got a speeding ticket last week, and I sent a mail pleaing not

guilty. I wasn't expecting to fight against the police officer who

gave me the ticket, but I expected to talk to the judge or the DA

about lessening my charge since it was my first time traffic

violation. I thought I had to plea not guilty in order to go to court, but

someone told me that I can plea guilty and then talk to the judge

about the charge.

#1.Is it possible to plea guilty and then talk to the judge or D.A

about reducing the charge? I thought after pleaing guilty,

negotiating or compromising with the judge or the D.A was

not allowed.

#2. I plead not guilty already. Is it possible that I change it to

a 'guilty' plea and not go to court and talk to the judge or D.A

about reducing my charge afterwards?

#3. Is it possible to wait and then go to court and plea guilty

there? I assume it's gonna cost the court fee, but anyways...

Have a nice day.

I have recently attempted to purchase a property in the UK and incurred expenses of £1400 on the basis that the vendor stated in writing that a quick sale was required only to back out of the deal at the last minute leaving me with these out of pocket expenses.
In a previous reply a lady from the states suggested applying specific performance through a property lawyer, I think due to our system where everything must be in place and all expendature is incurred before the contracts are signed this would not apply.
Has anyone been in this situation and taken the vendor to court to reclaim lost purchase expenses in circumstances where the vendor pulls out of the deal without explanation and justification

Let's face it Martha Stewart is the only famous person I can think of that went to jail. Shouldn't everyone have a fair trial regardless of their ability to pay for a good lawyer?

There is an existing will (from 1985) that appointed an adopted cousin to be executor. I don't trust him. I have heard that I could file a form and with a court date...present my request to the judge wihout an attorney.

Should I stay or should I go. Check out this letter to the editor in Todays, Trinidad & Tobago Guardian...

That sums up the worst of the country but on the positive side, the climate is great, the beaches are fantastic, the scenery and the rain forest is amazing, I enjoy my job and all the people I have met since coming here have been freindly and extremly welcoming. In short I like living here.

The downside is that there is poverty, there is a lack of capacity by Government to implement change and there is the presumption that corruption is rife in the public service. Also, there is crime and perhaps more crucially the fear of crime. I personally have not been touched by crime in all the 4 years that I have been living here, however, 2 elderly neighbours were murdered in the last month in what has been an extremly quite street.

I am now questioning whether I should stay or should I go?

I recently bought a house in a new neighborhood. The house behind me is under construction and the contractor has been using my yard as a cut through for his trucks and tractors. This has caused damage to my yard. I never gave him permission to do this and he never asked. The neighbors house is on a perfectly accesible road. The contractor has just choosen to destroy my yard instead of the yard that he is attemptingto sale. My intintion is not to sue but to threaten him to repair the damages caused to my property. Any suggestions?

friend was present and took the gun from the scene and now my son is being charged with 1st degree. From the 1st he stated that the man had a gun, they bagged the mans hands at the scene but according to the prosecutor, no test was done. THis is a small town and the parents of this man are well known here. My question, is there anything that can be done to show that the state did ot do the test because they work with the prosecution. My son has been told that this could be a major issue that should be brought up before his trial and possibly get it thrown out. Please no stupid answers, this is very, very important and will affect my sons life. thank you so much

I'd like to guage public opinion on what is obviously the worst case of it's type for many years.. is it time we did away with the sickness of our society? Or would you rather stick them in a cell at a cost of £400 a day? Would you consider backing a proposal to Neuter or castrate sick sexual deviants such as Ian Huntley and others?

A while ago I was arrested for theft and criminal damage from my old landlord. This was obviously not true, but my partner and I had to go to court. This was a horrendous few months, however the outcome was the case was dropped as the prosecution could offer no evidence. Will I now have a crimal record ?
