I was charged with a DUI recently and sentenced to 36 months of informal probation. I heard somewhere that you could appeal to the court to have them remove your probation sentence after completing the DUI program and paying all fines as long as you only have that one DUI on your record. Is this true?

Based on a radio show debate, there is discussion in my office on whether or not a convicted sex offender can travel overseas to Europe even if they have a valid passport. Someone called the station saying that they could not go to London because of a conviction and someone at the show disagreed. Who's right?

what we came for. As soon as we were out the door two men grabbed us and orderd us to go with them . I didnt catch on at first and was very frightened .so i balked at the idea of going with what i thought were thugs. They then as they paraded us through the store began calling us thieves, ordering us to shut our mouths or things would go tougher on us . when i told them we did no steal anything they called us lyers in FRONT OF EVERYONE....loudly..then one of them said yo dont have a reciept for what you have in the bag. and i was mad by then and i held the reciept up in the air and said the hell i don't....they then made us go into this tiny concrete room scary with no windows nothing but two guys and me and my friend ...i was terrified , I had no idea if they were working for the store or were police ...i still have nightmares...anyway ..they went through my purchase and compared it to my reciept , we had stolen nothing. they began to offer us fifty dollars to just go away. i said no.

Do you accept the concept that NOT EVERYONE WANTS THE ACADEMIC PROGRAM OF A HIGHSCHOOL DIPLOMA, and, we therefore should have the options of vocational/trade schools for those who have no interest in literature, drama, the arts, higher math and science skills, etc? Not everyone plans on going to college, some need skills to immediately enter the world of work with marketable skills and training. What do you think?
(Europe and China do this I believe.)

My ex is being charged with a "felony 1" crime for taking pictures of women in the nude (they didnt know they were being photographed) Just curious what kind of sentencing and the severity of that is. I'm not just being "nosey" He is the biological father of my 2 children and I'm just curious what this means for a custody/visitation standpoint in the future.

I recently turned 18 on the the 10th Feb. I have been with the DYFS system for 1 year, after the death of my mother. I'm planning on going to Holland on the 15th Feb (Thursday). Is there any way that DYFS can prevent me from signing myself out, as I'm already an adult? I have a plan of where I'm going to live, etc. I've heard that they have to stay with you until you graduate from high school - is this true?

Mexican (illegal) accused of robbing five dollars from another (illegal) Mexican with a knife...He was drunk.... Defendant accused of armed robbery (10 to 20 years in prison)... Would you be more likely to convict if you were told that Defendant was a GANG MEMBER? I need to determine whether or not to disclose defendant's GANG MEMBERSHIP during the trial...I am attempting to argue that this was not an armed robbery but rather a GANG fight (only one year in prison versus ten).... Again, narrow question: More likely to be guilty if GANG MEMBER?

THANK YOU ALL!

I was considering doing a reaserach paper for my English class on China's one-child policy and the negative effect on it's population of girls.

However, I thought I recently that they decided to reverse this law and it is no longer in use or changed in some way...but the only websites I can find haven't been updated for a long time.

Does anyone know if China is still following this law or not, and if so, are girls still being discriminated against?
