They aren't going to tap yours or mine phone unless we give them reason to suspect we might have something going with the terrorists. Thats their only interest and to date they've stopped attacks and caught some of the major players this way. In war time it they don't need a warrent, it's been done in all the past wars. In fact Reagan and Clinton both did it during peace times a couple times. Trust me they don't have the time or resources or interest to be tapping into everybodies lives.

If it's done to track terrorists, I have no problem with it, but technology is advancing so rapidly, I'm not sure it's as effective as it once was. With all the cheap throw away cell phones out there now, it's not as easy to track people as it used to be. The terrorists are smart. We have to be smarter and stay one step ahead instead of one step behind playing catch up.

No way. For even the smallest reason which one may not expect the FEDS can just come up to your door and take you away. You can't trust ANY gov't with so much power.
If you're against them, even peacefully, they will know and take you away at the drop of a hat to one of thier Kangaroo Courts and be declared an enemy combatent, where they can torture and lock us up as long as they see fit without a trial or anything.

Think this stuff over after thinking it will never happen to me.
Please...

I tap (on) my own phone. The noise drives my coworkers crazy! Kind of hard on the fingernails, though.

I am all for it. It does not affect anyone really, except those that might try and do harm. I am happy they are doing it.
