It's all the above. Republicans like to re-direct the questions to their specific agenda and trying not to focus on the questions at hand. It's a political strategy thats taught to them by advisors. If you can re-direct someones attention to another agenda then the questions will loose it potency.

Maybe their answers are actually on topic, but you don't know that because either you never knew the answer, you don't like the answer or you know you're just a political hack using a smoke and mirrors strategy to distract the people from the fact that you and most other liberals are morons. An on topic response from a "Republic".

If you'd open your eyes....it wouldn't matter if you asked your question about Republicans OR Democrates.

Both are guilty of not knowing nor liking the answers nor exempt from using "smoke and mirrors" to sway the minds of the public!

The ammunition the public must use is credible and reliable information based upon their own research and not the rhetoric spewed by those who don't know what they're talking about!

C) The truth is they are very well-practiced in the art of distraction from the real issues.

Just look at how long they've been trying to crucify President Clinton over his affair with Monica, when the real news is that thousands upon thousands of fellow members of the human race are being butchered all around the world, and that the White House has authorized much of it.

Actually, the answer is "D" -- Republicans answer a question with a question because (a) the question initially asked is often so stupid and is basically designed to bash conservatives, so that question shouldn't be dignified with a response, and (b) the best way to attack stupidity and ignorance on the part of liberals is with ignorance and stupidity because that's all these arrogant idiots understand.

Why is the sky not green?

But seriously... most of the times it is in response to some pedantic, irrelevant, moronic question in the first place.

Sorry. Ask a ridiculous question, receive a ridiculous answer.

all of the above. It's a shame americans bash each other with moral rhetoric. without actually solving or offering solutions.
