You have two moral dilemmas. Your duty to society and your duty and loyalty to your brother. Is he a harm to himself or others in the future? Is it concerning a crime that has been committed that is NOT likely to be repeated/ Is it a crime of violence? Has another person been accused of the crime? Is it possible for you to obtain help for your brother? I don't know what you should do, but these are a FEW of the types of things you should consider. Good luck. OR give us more details of what he did and perhaps we can help further. I would not turn in my brother for a past crime if he was not likely to re-offend and if it was a victimless crime, but it's hard to imagine my brother harming someone else.

Although the law is rigid, you dont need to turn your brother in if he is breaking the law. The law respects relationship between family members so allow the law to arrest him if possible.

Your question is not specific. Is he harming others? I don't concern myself with the law but feel we have an obligation to protect each other from harm. If he is doing something that is harming other people you have an obligation to do whatever you need to do to stop him.

It's hard, but I would definately. I've been called harsh for turning my cousin in, but I think that it can only result in a better future. People who go through life getting away with stuff, only move on to bigger stuff, thats when its a one way street and there's no turning back!
Stop them early on!

no, however you do have the legal responsibility to do so. If he is caught and they find out you knew and did nothing you can be charged right along with him. Hopefully you'll be able to share a cell.
