Burqas are the full body veils that have holes for the woman's eyes. I had just heard on the news a while ago that a lady filed a lawsuit because the DMV did not let her get her ID picture taken because her face was being covered. What's the current law on that?

i fell throw a floor broard in a council rented house.now i am dont a money grabber.but at the time i was carrying my 4 month old baby.when coming through the front door the floor broard giveway.my baby was fine but i was stuck but shock and fear i managed to free myself .but within minutes had masses of brusing.i went to hospital and took photos of the floor but what bothers me is the council housing officer passed the house for a safety check about 11 months before and i latter relised it the bit i fell through was actually rotting and a hiding trap door.now 15 month latter i still have like very small lumps under the skin which were bigger but got smaller.which my doctor told me was blood clots and give medacine for.even after reporting this to the council it took them ages to fix it although there was a 14 feet drop below.so its not about money more so anger.i have since moved house.

I have recieved a red light traffic violation in the mail.

I did not cross the intersection. I made a right turn. I viewed the footage online. I had my right turn signal on as well. I did not make a full and complete stop before I turned. Can that be used against me?

I have been getting annoying emails from someone claiming to be a lawyer. All the emails are COMPLETLY screwed up. They look as if they were written by a 5 year old. In all of them, I am never accused of anything. They are just threats over and over again, saying "you MUST contact me at something@aol.com or you WILL be taken to court!" (Or something along those lines) So, my question is, is it illegal to impersonate a lawyer? And if so, what kind of charges can be brought up against this person?

Here's the story. I had a child in 1990. The father didn't want anything to do with the baby. He said the baby wasn't his. I had a blood test and DNA test done, and the Dept of Human services did a child support order for $40 a week. He paid it a few times. In 1992 I married someone. After we'd been married a year, in 1993 he adopted my child and the child support order was discontinued. Last week my child turned 16 years old. I got a letter today from the Office of Child Support Enforcement saying that I owe the natural father a refund of $129 dollars and if I don't pay it back they can take it from my state tax refund. Are they asking me to repay the child support he payed me because of the adoption? Is there no statute of limitations on child support overpayment - if that's what it is? I'd like to hear your input because I don't think I owe that man a dime!

True story. A few months ago I was hospitalized for a kidney infection. I had no health insurance at the time, my work does not cover me. I was told by the hospital that I could apply for medical aid to help pay the bill. I recieved a phone call just yesterday informing me that I was declined any aid. What they told me was appalling, the reason I could not get any aid was because I'm not a drug addict or an alcoholic, unmarried mother with two or more kids, a refugee, and yes an illegal alien!! I have been working since I was 15 and paying taxes ever since, I never applied for any kind of government aid in my life, this one time that I would have really needed it, the government slapped me in the face. Do you think it is better I renounce my citizenship? The medical claims office informed me illegals get all kinds of aid, no questions asked. Do you think this is fair? I have been contact my local and state government to complain, I recomend it to all legal tax payers out there

I was living in a nice apartment with anoher guy who was the primary lease holder, i was given a 30 day notice when he decided to move and I was given a reciept for the amount I was owed and a 5 day period to pay. That was two months ago and I have yet to get my $1500. Do I go to the police, do I get a lawyer? What are the steps involved and am I entitled to intrest or damages for the time period with out my money? Also a check was bounced in my account... I am guessing that obviously this is owed to me.

This is a practical question. I would appreciate your advice regardless of your whether your opinion matches mine or not.

Having researched this subject non-stop for the last 2 weeks, I am CONVINCED that my country (UK) is in the process of being turned into an Islamic state. Whether you agree with me or not, I would appreciate your advice...

What can I do to stop it?

I've thought about the obvious.. Talk to others (which is difficult as they have all but sewn up normal dialogue with the 'racist card'), vote BNP (which I would never do because I'm not a racist), post on blogs, forums, etc.

In my opinion, the British (and European) people are suffering from apathy.

What can I, and others like me, actually DO to make a difference?

Please don't try to convive me that I am wrong in my assumption. I've seen anough evidence this week to scare the hell out of me.

Please, just advise me on a strategic level.

Thanks

i used to manage a store in the mall for 2 years i quit on bad terms (nothing illegal just a fight with my boss) and was asked not to come back into the store by her until further notice a few months late i called her and asked if i could go in and purchase something she said no but shed reassess it in the fall. it is now november and i quit in february. i went in today and she happend to be there she confronted/attacked me in front of other customers which i think is extremely unprofessional as well as immature considering im 21 and shes like 12 yrs older then me. my question is, is this actually legal?? ive done nothing wrong ive even seen the actual owner and he was fine with me being there!...shes out of control!!

i have problem with a scenario which is part of my piece of course work i have to do. basically a mans mobile phone contract is due for renewal at end of month, and its currently begining of month. he gets letter through saying " it couldnt be easier, u need do nothing and if we dont hear anything we will automatically renew your contract". well the man looks else where for better deal, but within six days (6th of the month), the company has already sent him confirmation of renewal papers through. i have been asked the question of has he accepted the contract? i need answer in terms of offer, acceptance , consideration etc. any help would be appreciated. i know that normaly acceptance has to be communicated in law, however here it doesnt ask for any-and takes none as acceptance, any students/law experts who can help this novice, with as much detail/cases to back up as u can give. please help im new to this.
