So much corruption would make the law ineffective and the people unlaw abiding. If every official of the government are corrupt and the judicial system are powerless to stop it then people would be the same or react by not paying the taxes the government needed for its existence. Slowly the country is falling into chaos at the same time impoverished.

Government is inherentl abusive. Any time one group has power to control others, there will be some abuse.

To limit that abuse, the checks-and-balances system makes it hard for any one branch to act unilaterally, because the other branches can limit their abuse. The courts provide the primary relief, when someone has been injured by govt action.

Corruption increases the potential for abuse. A weak judicial system means that the courts are powerless to stop the abuse.

That's what's happened now, with the federal executive branch being allowed to violate federal law at a will, and Congress stipping the federal courts of jurisdiction to hear the complaints. Thus, the executive can abuse their power, with no checks.
