I lived in Miami with a woman that falsely accused me of battering her and her child whom i believe to be my daughter. I was put in jail for months until my family found out. Now, out on bail I went to my father's house to find that she moved to the same town!!! This lady is not a t all trust worthy so If I file a restraining order she'll find out where I am... Should I do it?? Would I get in trouble??

OK I recently had a high priced comic I mailed out destroied in the mail. The buyer turned it in for the insurance claim through the post office and now the post office that took it is trying to refuse the claim. And they told me I may be under investigation for mail fraud. They are saying that the box it was sent in shows no signs of water damage yet the comic itself was soaked. I have recieved a photo of the box from the buyer and you can clearly see the bottom is warped and damaged see: http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y295/Warrior11219/ShowLetter.jpg Now is there anything else I can do to get an investigation into the post office conducted to get the insurance I paid for on the comic? Or am I just out the $350?

I own a Lexus RX330. I took my car to the service dept. for oil change. They told me to come back in 2 hours. When I went back to dealer after 2 hours, they said my car isn't ready. I waited 1 hour and they told me my car was taken by other customers as loaner car! They were returned after 2 hours, but the dealer wouldn't apologize. I contacted Lexus headquarters, and the department specialist says that they cannot force dealer to apologize to me.
What legal actions may I take to get the apology from dealer and emotional distress?

The place where I rent movies has been calling me and telling me I have late fees when I haven't even rented any movies lately. Come to find out an ex-girlfriend who was never even on the account was renting movies on my account. Apparently the movie place wasn't checking who was on the account or anything but it must have been a big problem lately because they just started checking id's November 1st. My question is what my ex did illegal? Renting movies on someone else's account that you know your not on or is it just the movie places problem?

There are so many stories of hideous crimes, yet the punishments are a joke. It seems that there's a groundswell of support out there for reforms, we just need a place to get it organized and do something with all the information. I know the love i have in my heart for animals is very strong, as it obviously is for many of you. If we could do something positive with all that love for the animals & the venom we feel for those who harm them, we could make a real difference in the lives of atleast some of God's creatures.

The state that this incident occured was the state of Kansas. My associate has 2 felony charges pending right now. I can't state what exactly because of privacy reasons. Just know that the D.A. has writtin a deal which states that they will run both charges concurrent and will do 5 years. My associate has NO PRIORS. He's a college student and working. He is between 19 and 22 years old. He never missed any court dates so far. The next court date is for a plea bargin conference which is in December. Nobody has signed the agreement deal yet because my associate's lawyer is shooting for a better deal than 5 years. At the end of everything, can the judge over look the D.A.'s deal and hand down a better deal?.. my next question is, how many times can the D.A. alter the deal that has already been written but not signed?..Please give accurate feed back..I seriously will appreciate it.. Thank you

I am smoking mad. I realize that they can because they did, but I am angry. My husband ran into a ditch. No big deal but the tire came off the rim and the car had to be towed. While waiting for the tow truck, the police, fire department, and EMS showed up! He has no idea who called. Anyway, while he was on the phone to the tow truck guy, the fire guys CUT THE CABLES leading to the battery. They "claimed" it was "standard procedure". What the heck? I am thinking of taking them to small claims court to get the cost of the repair back. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? It was a simple car verses ditch, no gasoline spill or anything. The airbag didn't even go off.

During year 2000 Eron was forcing blackouts and telling their subsidiaries to dismantle some of their facilities to create an electical outage in California. Many poeple belived it was Jim Davis fault. It all happend to paved the way to Sept 11? Why was California victim of such attacks? Enron officials were directly involved on those practices. And now Why is still California the state with the higher gas prices when it produces 630,000 barrels of oil per day. 12% of oil production in USA.?

Sure the Second Amendment gives you the right to own a gun.But I disagree...the truth is that if nobody had guns then nobody would get shot but that's not the case.I still think that we should ban guns.I mean say you get pissed of at someone and you just pull out a gun and shoot em.You probably regret that but now you spend the rest of your life in jail?

He has been charged with sexual misconduct, for assulting my adult daughter, but there are many more women that he has assulted. He gave them a discount ont their guttering work, and they have let him put a camera in their window so he can be sure I am not bothering anything of his. This is another form of his harrassing us. We run a small shop, and have a small room for adult novelties, and the church accused us of not belonging in a small town like ours. They were rude and crude to us, but they do not know about this neighbor. He hasn't been convicted yet, but I have a list of names that I talked to personally that he has assulted sexually. Our prosecutor doesn't seem to want to prosecute on the other complaints that have been filed. If he had, this wouldn't have happened to my daughter. This man has even raped. If I send this letter to the church, am I opening up myself to a law suit?
