yes it should be legal--if alcohol is legal why not? Do you realize the process it takes to make beer and liquor? Pot is 100% natural...no chemicals, processing, hell it grows out in the fields--why shouldn''t it be legal....just think how much more peaceful things would be if people smoked pot instead of drinking........i can't wait for the day i can walk down the street smoking my joint rather than hiding in my house

In one word, yes. But allow me to explain. Prohibition in the 30's is directly resposible for the Mafia. This is simply another form of prohibition, and a law of "morality". What is morally right for one person might not be for another, but it doesn't make either party any less moral. There are many known medicinal uses for pot, and I don't personally know any potheads that are overly agressive or violent. They smoke a joint, get the giggles, then the munchies, and then they take a nap. No harm

Absolutely. It's strictly economics.
Add up the costs of incarceration, enforecement, the loss of taxable income and sales tax a working pot head would contribute to the economy, sales tax on the sale, corporate tax on the companies that would manufacture/distribute/sale the product, and then factor the taxable income and sales tax that the employees and owners of these firms would contribute.
This is the amount of money we are losing EVERY SINGLE year. It would add 10's of billions to the economy, and would help decongest a highly congested prison and court system.

YES!!! Trying to rid all the Pot from this country is ridiculous. If our politicians weren't some stupid, instead of spending millions to fight it, they could have the tobacco companies grow and package it. That would put the "dealers" out of business and the Government could collect millions in new tax revenue!

Yes it should we spend millions and millions on the war on drugs and we are losing the war. By making marijuana legal or decriminalized then there will be more money to work with on the hard drugs.

Yes. However the govt. could not regulate it, there's no way for them to tax something that is so easy to grow yourself.
Instead it is criminalized so the govt. can make money.
