For certain crimes, I believe it is beneficial. I won't start a big rally here but if you look at countries and states that have capital punishment in place for violent crimes, their crime rates are incredibly lower than ours. Eye for an eye......sorry.

Yes, I agree with the death penalty! I don't believe we should have to pay for criminals who do horrible things to sit on there A** in the pen and do nothing. I think the death penalty in some cases is to easy for the prisoners.

I disagree. I have had family members who were murdered and killing someone else will not bring them back. I think the death penalty gives them an easy way out. I also would feel bad if my brother or another family member made a mistake that possibly killed someone and I would never be able to see them again.

Agree. Why keep people who have violated our laws so blatantly alive? Toss in the deterrent effect, saving of tax dollars (the 20 year appeals process has GOT to go), and the cleansing of our jail system and you've clearly got a winner.

i don't agree with death penalty. i think people mustn't be as criminal as the man who is condamned. but, sometimes, i think, death penalty is the only one solution. espacially in the case of war criminals like saddam or bin laden (when he'll be cath).
in fact, it dépends on the case.

Agree but i don't agree with unlimited appeals and lengthy trails at taxpapers expense. I don't believe someone should be kept alive at my expense either. Housing him in prison feeding him educating him etc. costs me money

It depends what crime they did, if they killed a bunch of people they deserve to be put to death, but if it is a small crime like stealing things they should get a little time.

i think its wrong to take a life no matter what the reason!!!if some one commits a crime let them suffer in jail for the rest of there life with out the wonderful luxirous prisons offer.
