If Bill Clinton can be impeached and put on trial, then can't George Bush as well; or did I miss the lesson about an extra marital affair being more criminal and dangerous than murder? I always thought an unstable insane mind is worse than an overly amourous one.

It is only due to another question regarding smoking that I ask this. The simple fact is more people are affected by pollution from cars than are affected by second smoke. Why do more people whine about passive smoking while they drive around in their polluting machines, increasing lung disease, destroying the environment and knocking people down and killing them and themselves.

No we have heard the whingers say that smoking costs the NHS millions... maybe. But they never look at the money that smokers bring into the NHS. Cigarette tax makes up a huge portion of the cost of cigarettes and pays a large amout of NHS costs.

I don't like breathing car exhaust fumes every day and the rise in Asthma has been linked to the replacement of lead in petrol with the lung irritant Benzine. We need to put a more sever tax on cars to cover the damage they do to our health and the treatment needed by those who suffer from lung problem caused by car.

Some months ago, I heard that taxation on wages is purely voluntary, and unconstitutional. So I have been trying to find the law that says I must pay tax on my wages. I can't find any such law and even the IRS can't (or won't) tell me. I then discovered that ALL (not just some) of the money collected by the IRS from “income taxation” is handed over to the federal reserve, and NONE of it benefits Americans in any way whatever. It seems the federal reserve is not actually “federal” at all, and nor is there any “reserve” either. It is not even a government body – it’s a privately owned corporation owned by a few rich bankers, that hoodwinked the senate back in 1913, into giving them the right to issue money (which is not allowed under the constitution). Aaron Russo produced a film about the subject (freedomtofascism.com) which I found very disturbing. It shows that the US govt. has deceived everyone into thinking we MUST pay tax on wages, when in fact it is purely voluntary.

My mother is in the hospital a couple hours away and I have no way to go be with her today, but she says her nurses are being mean to her- they're hardly checking in on her or anything and when she calls the nurses for help with going to the bathroom or pain medicine or anything they act rude like she's inconveniencing them. she had pretty serious surgery and can't get out of the bed by herself for at least another week and told me that last night her catheter bag sprung a leak and she had to lay in her own urine for over an hour until she finally could get someone to come help her.. my brother is on his way down there right now to see what's going on. What are our rights concerning this? can we move her to a different hospital? Would we need a lawyer?? she's on medicare..

Interested in your views on the sentence. It's of particular interest to me because it's local news. For those who would like to know, she made the allegations after having had consensual sex because she was worried she was pregnant. Story can be found at:

They just stand there, often times holding signs, making wonderful targets of themselves. I find it extremely tempting to throw things, whether it be a banana or an empty, crumpled-up beer can, as I drive on by. My aim has been improving lately, as I've managed to nail several in the last week, but I do wonder if it is illegal.

How fast would a car have to hit you from behind for you to get bad whiplash? (The car that is hit is stationary by the way!). I am asking because my girlfriend was involved in a minor car accident where a car in front slammed on its brakes when seeing red lights (controlling a different lane of traffic!). The car behind him went into the back of him and then my girlfriend (in the 3rd car back) then hit him (2nd car back). My girlfriend was travelling just under 30mph as she was just about to take a corner.
We have had a letter from car 2's solicitor stating that 'Our client has sustained a whiplash from which he continues to suffer' and 'You failed to travel at a safe distance behind our client's car and drove a VW Beetle into the rear thereof'.
My issue is with the 'car behind is liable' rule. This rule is a lazy black and white rule that cuts out extra thought and cosideration for what actually happened. The accident was caused by car 1. Simple!

I'm getting very tired of a certain cash & carry that won't take customer service seriously. When ever I ask for an order they send the wrong type of item or which has expired. When ever I try to exchange any wrong item or expired item they won't let the exchange happen. At on time they went as far as to say “we have other customers we don't need you".

The house next door was sold at auction 2 years ago and was brought by a family so they could 'do it up' to make some money,
the house has an extension which has p/p but the people that had it before had a patio that they decided to put walls up and a plastic roof so they could sit out if it rained, but just before they had the house repossed they put a door and windows in. The men that brought this house changed the roof to a solid one and put a kitchen in although we mentioned that the stucture didnt have planning permission and that it doesnt have any footings, this effectively has gone out 4 metres than allowed. now they have put this house on the market and the searches keeps showing this extra extension building shouldnt be there, now one of these men have come round and said that we have to write a letter stating that this building has been standing for over 5 years, but it has only been up 3 years, this house has been empty for 6 years, if we wrote a letter would it be legal?

All the trials against the defeated leaders were conducted by the victors, for the acts of commission and omission done prior to the date of trial, when the victors had no suzerainty over them. How far that is legally a sustainable act? Has the governement backed by the US in Iraq done the right thing, in sentencing Saddam Hussain to death?

We live next to a rather large car yard, which has recently been developed and they have attached air conditioning units and cables to our wall (we live in a unit block). They also have a ridiculously bright spotlight positioned to shine directly into the block rather than on the yard. Do you know where we can go to get these matters resolved (other than local council who are about as helpful as **** on a bull)?
Australian Answers greatly appreciated ;)
