Is cheating on your wife worse than invading a small country?

If Bill Clinton can be impeached and put on trial, then can't George Bush as well; or did I miss the lesson about an extra marital affair being more criminal and dangerous than murder? I always thought an unstable insane mind is worse than an overly amourous one.

Up front one might think the answer to your question obvious. Of course not! Killing lots of people is never going to be better than lying about sexual misconduct. We all know that (I hope!). But you are confusing actions with intent. Now I disapprove completely of the invasion of Iraq, for a whole number of reasons but I do at least understand some of the Bush / Blair reasoning. On the other hand, Clinton cannot claim any higher motives for his affair - and, for the relevant factor for which the attempt to impeach him was made, for lying about it. Daft I know, but ultimately in our western societies that is the factor that influences your question.
Also and with respect, please would our fellow contributor stop attempting to claim God as the sole preserve of the American nation (and, by inference, only those who supported the war?). And oh yes, to my other friend, I may not know the answer to your question (unless it is the Judiciary, Congress and the White House) but then I'm from the UK so why should I? It doesn't mean I can't have valid and clearly thought out reasons for opposing the invasion...

Clinton/Gore most likely had more info than we have been told..i.e. recently Americans were told C/G had info on Bin Laden and his group of terrorists, but C/G did nothing, as usual. Exactly, Clinton was to be impeached because he LIED, again, as usual. There are very few left in our Great Nation who have any morals, so cheating on one'sspouse is not an issue with most Americans, should be, but not. Also lying should classify as morally right or wrong, but Clinton is still popular today, as is his wfie. I hope Americans are not stupid enough to elect her as our next President. Few may remember she was involved in the "Whitewater" scandal..like husband, like wife! If Americans are happy with their recent election of Dumbercrats, let's see how safe our Nation will be in a couple of years, when a Dumbercrat is elected as President! President Bush, in all of his mistakes, has at least tried to protect our Nation from terrorists! Dumbercrats look at the classifieds, probably are looking at the classified ads, not classified information and so ignore it all.

Clinton was never impeached. I love political bashers that have no idea what they are talking about, half of them are just rambling made up facts that have no backing and a quarter of them are simply repeating what they heard someone else say. The ability to form an honest opinion is based on ONES research. I was in a group of "Bush and Government bashers the other day", They asked my opinion and I tod them they were uneducated about the system, they disagreed, so I asked, "What are the three branches of Government", "answer and Ill believve you at least have an 8th grade government education and Ill talk with you", out of 5 of them, one knew the answer, but they were all "experts" on the war, Bush and our Governement.

I just want to say that regardless of why humans have become so angry and negative, humans care capable of godly creations. Until that day, humans will fight and kill each other and possibly destroy this planet.
In that fight, lines will be drawn. Cultures, ideologies, and nations will be eliminated.
Evolution will continue to evolve,
religion will continue to provide faith,
governments will continue to govern.

It was politics, Clinton's impeachment. Let's try to get us out of the mess in Iraq with some cooperation between the 2 parties. Every death in Iraq is a waste. Do not fall into the trap of trivializing their deaths with 20/20 hindsight.

Whether you do wrong against a single person, as in the betrayal of a partner, or, whether you do wrong against a nation, as inside invasion, all are wrong doings in God's sight... since they are both designed to hurt other human beings through the perpetrators instant greed, lust, gratification, domination... in short, anything that we do, that hurts another, mentally, emotionally, or physically, in the singular, or collectively, is equally as bad... it is an act against God... since we are all part of God and matter just as much...
