The government has been monitoring emails for years using an application called Predator. They say they have stopped using it, which most likely means they have something better. Predator was reported to be a keyword based system. That is, it looked for keywords in the emails.

Having said that, the government has proved time and time again they don’t know what do with the data after they have it. They haven’t been able to locate Osama Bin Laden. They said Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. The list goes on and on. The bottom line is; I am sure they don’t care what we write here on Yahoo Answers and even if they did they wouldn’t know what to do with it.

If they are sitting there being concerned with what any of us have to say on the Yahoo Questions/Answers Page, then it's called they need a new job and/or hobby. Monitor me all you want, I've earned my freedom of speech damn it. I won't have it yanked by some schmuck who wouldn't be able to locate his *ss without military action! (Sorry....personal feelings came out again...my bad!)

I don't care. They can monitor me if they like, but they are NOT going to take away my free speech rights.
