I have been looking for attorney's for a little over two weeks now. I haven't had any luck as of yet. I had an option of one lawyer who wanted 750 dollars to retain him. I am indigent and don't have that kind of money. I am on SSI for being blind. So if any of you know anything let me know...Thanks Rochelle

I would want to invite "friends" to a flat/house where they will have already payed for entry/ alcohol etc.
Although I relise this is risky with possible prison terms to contend with thats why I need to find a grey area, any ideas

by the Prison doctor?

I mean it would be cheaper for us taxpayers for them to go on Methadone than for them to have to go cold turkey and then us to have to pay them loads of compensation out of our taxes because their "human rights" *cough* were "breached" wouldn't it?

have a bank problem my dad expired and left a will behind stating the money left behind should be distributed to all children. i am the executrix of the will to see that all mentioned in the will should be carried out. after his death my brother was made nominee in the banks . the will is dated 2003 but the nomination is dated in 2005. claims all signautures are wanted my brother refuses to sign as he wants to claim all the money. how will i give the money to all when my father has said so. i think my brother has already claimed the money from the bank . what do i do next. even the flat my father said should be sold and distributed equally.where i should see to the legal matters . my mother did not leave a will but on a piece of paper she has written to see to all this after her death. she was bed ridden and never moved out of the house. now after the death of my parents i am having a problem as my brother refuses to sign as he wants the flat on his name and wants to occupy it.

How can a criminal who has committed a crime against society severe enough to justify being locked up, get compensation against his punishment?
Are we going to have criminals sue because they're being deprived of sex? Shopping?
The judge said it amounted to torture. While I agree that coming off drugs is dreadful, how can someone else be held accountable for your own stupidity? Taking drugs harms you! If you go to prison, you have to go without!

I went to Berlin last year with my (now ex)boyfriend,& stayed with his friends. We went out for a drink, and as they didn't speak English I couldn't make myself understood as to who was minding their 6 year old son.Later on in the evening i managed to ask my boyfriend who was minding the child,& he said no-one.I wanted to go back straight away as I thought 6 years old is way to young to be left alone(I have 2 children myself,a few years older,& I still don't leave them on their own)I was told to stop making a fuss as the child has been getting left on his own since he was 2 years old.I was getting quite upset by now,& was told to stop making a scene as it was legal in Germany to leave a child on their own once they are able to use a telephone. They have since had another child who is now nearly one year old,& I have heard that they are coming to England for a 2 week visit,I am worried they will be left alone in a strange country(child only speaks Turkish&German)

I just got an abuse violation from yahoo answers, purely cos someone didnt like my resonse. It was not rude or abusive. It spawned several questions back at me, one being a death threat! Other people read into them and agreed that it was him being abusive and eventually he admitted he was 16 and just being stupid. Is this system abused itself? Have a lot of people receieved these from immature people who cant take a response they dont like?

I have had an EEG and CAT scan both negative, the doctor wants an MRI and I am not to drive until it is complete. Then I was informed that even if the MRI is normal, another EEG is required in about 10 weeks, even if that is norml they can prevent me from driving for up to one year. Is this true, even if all the tests reflect no epilepsy? I fainted and my face twitched , so the medical field has insisted that I had a seizure, even though I have never had one in my life!

I was wrongfully terminated. I was told by a lawyer who has agreed to speak with me without charge. To accept my case on contingency it must be a slam dunk. His words "I believe that you were discriminated against and you have good documentation. But knowing it and proving it in court are two different things". If he doesn't take my case, can I do it myself? I cannot afford to hire an attorney but I don't want my former employer to get away with what they've done. If they can do it to me, they can do it to anyone. They need to be stopped.

Nancy Polici's choice to Head the House Intelligence Committee, is Florida Rep. Alcee Hastings. In 1989, after being acquitted in a criminal trial, Hastings was stripped of his position as a federal judge -- impeached by the House in which he now serves and convicted by the Senate -- for conspiring to extort a $150,000 bribe in a case before him, repeatedly lying about it under oath and manufacturing evidence at his trial.

My cousin got into trouble (DUI) and it seems that her attorney hasn't really been keeping up with her case. This seems to be a pattern with this guy. He recently had a very high profile case where he called no witnesses. He of course lost the case. I should say, his clients lost their case. I, and many others believe that he is mis-representing my cousin, if not malpracticing. What can be done about it? I think he should not practice any more.

THIS IS NOT MY OPINION

An acquaintance of mine was talking about how people "break laws". He's talking about the first ammendment in how "freedom of speech, religion, blah blah blah... shall not be abridged" and stuff. Like, in classrooms teachers tell students to be quiet. This happened to a guy I knew once: A guy had a family problem and was really stressed so he had to talk it out. The teacher tells him to be quiet and he responds saying that he has a right to freedom of speech. The teacher says things like "That applies only when you are expressing your opinion not how much you talk" and stuff.

I'm really confused on this matter. Can someone explain?

I have the legal right to obtain copies of the attorney files of the other party involved in this suit for custody. I am representing myself and want to send a written request for said copies, but want to make sure I don't sound like an idiot. Can anyone help me with examples or templates? Thanks! I don't anticipate losing by any means, but want to know what I am dealing with.
