My grandmother was born in Arkansas but moved to Florida as a child. At age 16 she moved to New York, where she eventually got married and raised her family. While keeping their house in New York, my grandparents bought a series of houses in Florida during the time period of roughly 1970-1990. Their intent was to be primary Florida residents for financial reasons. My grandmother then gave legal ownership of the New York house to three of her children. My grandmother developed Alzheimer’s in the 1990's, she soon lost the ability to care for her and to understand what was going on. Her children had her brought up to new York to their old house, now owned by her children, to receive in-home nursing care 24 hours a day. She passed away last month and now the state of New York seems to be the state taxing her estate under the belief she was a New York resident. That is not what she wanted; her intent was to be qualified as a Florida resident.

How can we go about fixing this????

My ex is really being unbearable. He has always pushed the limits where our children are concerned it seems like he hates me because our children love me too. I recently this year finally got remarried to the second guy I ever dated and we have been together for five years and when it was right we got married we also have a three year old together but I didn't think getting pregnant was enough for us to get married at the time. I hate divorce and I wanted to make sure and I'm very lucky to have found someone that loves me for me. My ex got married a year after we were divorced and it lasted less than a year. I felt sorry for him because we kind of grew up together and I do wish the best for him. Really I do. We were getting along fine I mean it was a dream come true. Two adults putting their children first. Now when the kids are with him they aren't allowed to call me or talk to me. My daughter's B-Day is tomorrow and he won't let me talk to her. We are now going back to court.

The guy disobeyed the terms of his "probation" 4 days later. Next week the Atty Gen. is revoking this bogus probation. I thought he said the guy would be arrested. My friend said he would get a summonse to appear for trial. Could it be either? Or does this constitute an arrest warrant? Also a judge told his ex that she could file contempt of court papers. But when she got to court today, they said the Atty Gen. or that judge would have to sign the order. What's up w/that? With the 2 warrants on the same day, is it typical to serve a warrant or just send a summonse to appear to him & his lawyer?

I have recently separated from my husband and I have custody of the children (ages 3 & 7) The father moved out of state. I just recently move to this area and have no family here. My boss said he would work with me on my schedule as far as the hours I worked due to the fact that most daycares close at 6pm and are only open mon - fri. Since this all happened the manager quit and the temp. fill in manager isn't helping me out at all. Is there some law somewhere that protects my position (I'm lower managment)

in the state of texas, what is child support designated for? correct me if i'm wrong but currently i use child support for: rent, clothing, food/groceries, transportation, insurance premiums (that is written in our divorce decree) and toiletries-pull ups etc for my 3 year old. my ex husband has a new fiance and all the sudden after almost 2 years he has been asking if his child support is going to my child's college fund. i told him that i have an account for my son's college and told him he can open one as well. his response was "i already have, it's called child support". where does he get off assuming child support is for college savings? do any of you use it for that? i only get 460 a month and every penny is spent else where for my son. what do you think

had a traffic citation back in May of this year. I pleaded no contest. Is there anyway I can go back and fight that citation now?
I live in Wisconsin.
this is what happened: my car was disabled on highway shoulder and some guy rear ends me. I get a ticket for unauthorized parking and he gets a ticket for unattentive driving. Somehow, the other driver gets his unattended driver ticket removed. Now, I am left as being at-fault even though my diabled car was rear-ended!!! Thats why i need to go back and fight the citation

I'm trying to help someone out but have no clue .anyone know where I can go on the internet and find a legal document to fill out and print to take to a court for an emergency child custody hearing? The type of document that you need to take to a judge to schedule a hearing to regain custody of children ??? She spoke to a lawyer and he told her she could do this on her own. and could save almost a grand if she was able to get a copy of this and present it to a judge on her own ... hence saving the money of aquiring a lawyer.

Mankind has the technology to create lightbulbs that won't burn out, tires that will last longer. It is truly amazing what can be done, what can be created.

Unfortunately, most things are designed to break down / stop working after limited use, prompting repeat business, allowing the creators to make a ton of money; much more money than needed to maintain a simple, healthy life.

These people are getting rich while some people are dying because they cannot afford FOOD.

Will mankind stop trying to get 'rich' and start using the latest technology to produce the best of everything possible?

My husband and I are having a disagreement. He heard that you can be arrested for stealing someone's garbage if it is in the bag, in the can, but still on their property. I said you cannot be arrested for stealing, you can only be arrested for trespassing, and that once garbage is thrown away it is public property. Maybe someone can help us with this? We live in New Jersey, maybe our state has a different law.

I lost my brakes while driving a tri-axle coal truck (brake fade, most likely). I was going down a hill that was not marked, had no idea the hill was coming, and at the bottom, on a left curve, I laid the truck down rather than rear-ending the coal truck in front of me. I was fined over $2000 for the overturned veh and going too fast for conditions. I need to prove that the hill should have been marked as a hill for trucks, and maybe even a sign should have been up for trucks to reduce gear. this is in rural western pensylvania. it was a one-mile hill, country road, curvy, with no indications that a 90 degree turn was at the bottom of the hill until you were almost on it, and already going down hill for about .8 mi. I lost one case, now must consider appeal. i was told i need to prove that the hill SHOULD have been signed. how can i prove it? how can i find out the grade of the hill?
