Sadly,yes...it comes down to a fight between two beliefs and a breakdown in communication....it's human nature and sometimes inevitable....I like to quote "Forgiveness is between them and God,we're just here to arrange the meeting"

No! I know a legal mass murderer and a man cursed by God. No one has the authority to kill inocent people even in the Spanish/American War were the USS Maine blew up internally or Vietnam War over an Element or Mormons killing New York Settlers. There has to be a right and wrong. And I for one choose to fight for a vastly improved social contract that in this way, perhaps, one day, Texas might be as low violence as North Dakota is now. And this country can lead by real leadership.
Wow! what a great question....Thank You.

If attacked, yes. We were attacked, so logically the answer should be yes, but since we attacked the wrong country for the wrong reason and later have tried to justify the invasion with rhetoric of righting a wrong, then why we are killing is wrong in that we were in error to begin with. We should still go after the one responsible, but all the deaths so far have been unjustified because we went into the wrong country after the wrong person that carried out the attack on 9-11.

if it ever came down to it... and God forbid it ever does...I would kill for my FAMILY! For the sake of government, I would turn my back and refuse to be bullied.. for the sake of country, I would take my every spare penny and devote it to health care, elder care, homeless shelters, animal shelters, special needs children, the education system. But kill? NO.
For my country I have to admit that in "war" if I saw an injured person, dying in the street, no matter his race, his religion, his reason for being there...or the side he was on, I would get down on my knees and hold his head in my lap and devote every bit of my energy into making sure that he did not die alone... I could not kill for my country. Religion? I have faith in God and in my heart I know that I could never look him in the eye and say to him... I killed for you!

but family... if today someone walked into my home or the home of any of my family and drew a gun... or lifted a finger towards them, I would kill. There is absolutely NOTHING more important in this world than your family and I would kill for them any day!

Killing to protect your country can be justified but killing for religion's sake is an oxymoron, unless your religion is a satanical religion.

The God of the major religions of the world objects to killing for any reason. If one of those Religions recommends killing a person for any reason, then I would class that religion as a religion of the devil.

God often in the old testment had one nation attack another for varoius reasons, He even blessed specific armies.

God does not want us to kill but again he realises that we live in an evil world and at times we must go to war and we must kill for various reason.

We are to follow the orders of our Government over us according to the bible, and Jesus never specificly said anywhere in the bible not to be in the army or be a soldier.

So yes as a citizen of a nation, we should have a desire to fight for it and love our nation enough to die for it if needed.

And we know in REV that in the end times there will be a great war based on religion, with Christianity fighting those that are not, So I guess while we first should be willing to die for our faith

Govt: No way
Country: depends on the "issue" - I think if another country came here and tried to take it over, I would fight for it. And I think that our troops deserve our support, no matter if I agree with the war or not.
Religion: in general, no; but WWII - I think the Jewish people were worth killing the Nazi's over.

Yes, we are currently faced with a group of radical killers and if our military does not kill as many of them as possible we will see blood flowing in the streets of America, beheadings, rape of men, women, and children. A religion is never grounds for killing, but the people we are currently facing are not killing for a religion they are killing because they are savages and enjoy killing.

Nobody or nothing is worth killing for. if at all a killing needs to be justified it has to be based on self interest. It is not that I condone killing people, but the motivation has to be the self! All other killings are exploitation.

A cause may be worth killing the few in order to protect the many (innocents).

In a simple answer; Yes. I wouldn't be doing it for the government though. I'd be doing it for the citizens & country, for the way of life.
