Driving under the influence of liquor is an offense. Thus, Paris Hilton should be put in jail if proven guilty of the offense even if she is rich and could pay the penalties.

For a DUI? No one deserves to go to jail for a year for a first offense....but I do feel she should be fined and lose her license. With all her money she will probably get a slap on the wrist and sent on her way.

Paris should be made to live like ordinary people for a year and photographers forbidden to take her picture. She would go bonkers.

I agress w/ Dino, I think PAris should be made to live a poorer life & actually have to know whats its like to not have money to not have food to eat every day(like she eats every day anyway) but she should have to feel what its like to actually NEED, to be without.....I think her shallowness is neauseating

anybody DUI deserves to be punished, and they deserve to be treated fairly by the court.....I hope the that justice is done and she cannot buy her way out.......if I was the judge I would NOT send her to prison but I would make her use her high profile to warn others not to repeat her foolish mistake.
