You can take her to Family Court and contest the father, and the Judge would ask her if you could be the father, and then tests are done, and then the final verdict will happen, and if you are definetly the father, than you would start paying child support on what you make and what she makes, but each state is different. Call the family Court, and ask and they usually can set up a date in less than 10 days!!!!!! Then you will definetly find out if he does pay child support and who is the father, and then you will be given joint custody, or whatever the Judge thinks what is right for you and the child!

Well, I would be down to some court!! If this person is not the father, he has NO LEGAL RIGHTS to custody or anything else!

You should have been notified! That is the law!

Why is another man paying child support? That is illegal as well!.

Freedom of information act - all you have to do is find out where her divorce was finalized (which county), and then go to their county records and look her up. They county records keepers should be able to help you. The settlement should be recorded under that court case.
