I know somebody who has been on mandatory overtime for over 3 months. It is 12 hours a day. 6 days a week. The person just went on vacation and got very sick as a result of all the mandatory overtime. They just got back to find out that they had been scheduled once again for yet another week of madness. Why? They are moving someone over to relieve another couple of people who have had this mandatory labor for 6 months. There is a union. This is extreme abuse. What can be done to help this situation?

I found abuse going on with a puppy in a store, called Pet Land. A dog was eating his own poop. I wanted to take a picture and report it to the police, but last time i was going to take a picture in a store, they told me i could get fined for it. Do any of you know if its illegal or not to take pictures?

I know there is some kinda legal term you can use in court that makes the person charging you have to turn all evidence over to you or your lawyer if you have one. It starts with a "d." Any idea what it is or how it works? I'm in canada if that makes a difference

If you are a person who disapproves of “capital punishment” or if you have mixed feelings about it (such as myself) then that is all right. My question stems on the fact that say there ALREADY WAS a crime that automatically resulted in the offender getting the death penalty – no community service, no fines, and no jail time - just an automatic death sentence. What crime, (in your opinion) would that be that resulted in this ultimate punishment?

Would it be rape, grand larceny, murder, burglary, what? These are sadly just a few of the seemingly endless crimes people can commit- but if you feel it is not one of these, then tell me which one you do think it should be think. Why? *Remember... it can only be 1 crime.*

My politics class is having a debate tommorow about whether Marabury v Madison is constitutional. I have to say its not. I hate the concept of judicial review, but our judges have been doing it so long I can't think of a coherant reason the constituion would forbid it.

Its a long and drawn out story, but here's the short version. I live in NY where 2 people had filed harassment charges against me in what was a very big misunderstanding. Once they found out the real story they no longer wanted to push the charges forward and don't want anything to do with the situation.

Now it seems, the ADA(Assistant District Attourney) wants to continue to push this forward even the the 2 people originally filing the charges do not. I've been told by a friend (who is a criminal justice major) that if the complainants don't want anything to do with it, she has nothing because she has no complaining witness. Further, he said I should file a motion for dismissal if she can't get a complaining witness. So...

Why would the ADA want to push it forward when the 2 parties said it was a misunderstanding and don't want to?

Is what I've been told true?

And what should I do next?

I let a friend put a vehicle in my name. Tags and insurance are in my name. On Friday, he was arrested on drug charges. What could happen to me concerning this vehicle? Could I be arrested as an accessory? He was not arrested in the vehicle, but I'm not sure where it is now. He travels alot between TX and NC. We are in NC.
