In A criminal case can the prosecuter have A venue change,at time for trial , then comeback....?

To the case as an expert witness, at trial having been involved in that particular case. I know that if she were A witness to A particular incident or happening, it would be allowed. Does the law provide for anything on an expert witness having confidential inside knowledge?
