I know it is illegal to record phone calls w/o consent, but what about having someone on another line listening to the conversation and taking notes who could be used as a witness later?

...of books owned by others, such as libraries, friends, etc (for personal use)? The owners already paid the artists for their job, so you're not stealing anything if you make copies of something that has been duly acquired and is now owned by another individual or corporation that lets you. Most car models are also patented, but no one would arrest you for taking a picture of a trafficked road.

Please Help!

About 2 years ago i rear-ended a company vehicle while driving my sister's car. She did not have insurance and the company claimed it on theirs. The company sent me a letter regarding collection of damages back in 2004. I agreed to it over the phone w/ one of their reps.

That was the last I heard of them until about a week ago when i got a letter regarding a court date(09/18) to seek damages the insurance company is trying to collect. I do not understand why they would involve the courts regarding this matter when it could be solved out of court. There was little attempt to collect anything & there was only a verbal agreement for me to pay them for the damages..i did not sign any contract regarding the damages. I would have fulfilled my obligation if i did.

What are my options for this? Now not only do i have to pay for the damaged vehicle but now also court costs as well as attorney fees! ANY info is gladly appreciated & god bless you for any advice that

I have been offered a position with another company and will give my employer a 2 week notice. If my employer asks me to leave prior to the two weeks is he by law or obligated any way to pay out that 2 weeks which is above and beyond my earned benefits I have with the company? I am a good employee, but there will be some tension with the company I am moving on to so that is why I forsee a some possible friction.

I'm just curious. Why is it that a person can ask about the special rights a "real" sex offender has, and almost everyone who rushed in to answer, defended those very creeps? I didn't say the people who are "falsely" accused
of the act, I "said" the one's who are truely guilty! They are treated with this sickening protection, then they turn around and continue to hurt our children! Yeah, I can only imagine "why" those who got all worked up, "did." I knew a
guy nearly all of my life, thought he was a great guy. Then about 12 years ago he was sent to prison for being a pedophile, and he admits he will do it again! He needs to be put under the damned ground! PERIOD!

A national retail chain issed store-credit, based on thier own company policy, on several dates. Then when the cards were used as tender for an oder the company denied the cards value. My question is, if the company issued these cards legitimately based upon thier own company policy, how can they deny the value of these cards after issuance?

why do sex offenders have so many rights? And why can't there simply be a law in which the pedophiles are put to rest (executed) once it is a "fact" they have done what they are accused of doing? Our prisons would be less crowded, and our tax money could help people who actually deserve to be helped!
We put people in prison who "may" be guilty of fraud, or
who "might" have been involved in another lesser crime. It
doesn't make any sense that we turn around and "protect"
a pedophile as if he or she is special! Our government is
backward in it's laws and beliefs. Then they act "shocked
that a lot of potencially "good" people are breaking the law suddenly, or doing things they never did before? DUH!

They keep saying that I can get free grant money but I have to give them a credit card, the number comes up as "Quebec Call" on my caller ID. And when the representative answer the phone they do not answer like a company would by introducing the company they represent or their name. They just say "HELLO!?" I know that this is a scam I told them stop calling my house and they still call..

The judge of the Probate Court in New Jersery stated that money would be placed in the Mercer County Surrogates's office until a completed Refunding and release form was submitted to that office by me. The judge also stated that two other assets due to me were outstanding, but otherwise the estate would be closed. I need to have closure in this matter. Please help me with this concern.

Two years ago my sister who was a single parent to 4 children had gotton some help from a foster father for her 2 boys, he was to be their mentor. The foster father/mentor and the boyfriend of the foster father molested the boys. It went to court and the men were imprisoned. My sister was devastated for trusting what she thought was a state certified foster father.
The boys had problems in school, sleeping, trusting....many problems. My sister was under so much stress with all the appointments with physcolgists, Doctors, school....she became ill and went on assistance (Medicade) to help with all the medical bills. My sister was just diagnosed with cervical cancer a few weeks ago and now just received noticed that they were cancelling her medicade. Now that she has been diagnosed with cancer she will never be able to get insurance and that is a death sentence for her. THE STATE EMPLOYED A PERVERT TO RAPE her boys and stopped her medicade AFTER a cancer diagnosis. Any advice? Legal?
