You can sue anyone for anything.

Of course, you can also get laughed out of court, and perhaps forced to pay damages for filing a frivolous lawsuit.

No. For two reasons. First, because you can only sue someone for breaking the law, not for making the law. And if you don't like what Congress is doing, elect a new Congress.

Second, because Congress isn't sending jobs overseas. They are simply allowing businesses to make their own decisions in a free market. That's called capitalism.

If you don't want a capitalist system, and instead you want the government to control all decisions that businesses make, then this may not be the best country for you.

Wake up, man. We are giving our own jobs away, by demanding certain salaries and perks that people in other countries don't ask for. Do you really think an unskilled laborer deserves to make $12 per hour? In Mexico they will do it for $2, with a smile on their face. Do you think a tech support worker deserves $75,000 a year with medical, dental, and 401(K)? In India, they will do it for three bowls of rice and a pat on the back.

Do you think you deserve a job just because you're an American? Wrong. Get off your rear, get an education, and generally try to make yourself more valuable to an employer than the Mexican or Indian guy. If you can't find work, it's your own fault, not Uncle Sam's.

no, the government is not sue-able. Otherwise, I would sue them for convicting my husband for a 3 year old crime that there is no evidence for, but then again, apparently the military can do whatever they want. And sending the jobs overseas? Wake up, there are illegal people here in the U.S. that get our jobs all the time!!!

Yes you can but you'd lose. Congress allows companies to do this. The effect is there are more Americans competing for fewer jobs. If the overseas jobs were here, labor would be scarcer and wages would need to rise. So what is happening is that everyone's pay is lower.

Put some of the blame on the unions. And no you can't sue. That's the biggest problem with this country. Everybody wants to sue somebody for something.

see all that matters is cheap work in terms of money. If you are so much concerned about these jobs then may be you should consider working in probably 25 % of your current pay cheque. Now you would be angry on third world people for their poverty which is making them work at low wages. The reponsible people for these are you guys from so called developed nations, who have siphoned off their money to your contry to get yourself developed.
ANYWAY IT IS NOT WRITTEN IN CONSTITUTION THAT JOBS ARE TO BE GIVEN TO CITIZENS OF THAT COUNTRY FIRST AND GOVT IS OBLIGED TO DO SO. HENCE YOU CAN'T JUST SUE IT.

um it's not the government that is sending jobs overseas, it's the corporations that are doing it. for example, the hoover company in ohio has moved most of it's manufacturing to mexico.....the government did not force them to do this. the company did this on their own free will. complain about the companies moving the jobs, not the government because it's not their fault.

Yes! You should that is a fantastic idea, they are being completely unfair when they do things like that and they should be punished....but keep in mind they are in favor because agter all they are the government and they run our country. but i think the person you are looking to sue is the president because he ultimately decides what goes on.

You can not fault a capitalist government from doing capitalist things, you can just fault them for being capitalist.
