thats an interestin question! I was in Florida this past winter and they did a news story saying they were afraid it may cause road rage! I did see an old guy pulled over by a cop that did not like it that the old man text message him to stop tailgaiting! I loved it.
as i understand it you can pre-program your various messages and assign them numbers to control from the drivers seat. I don't know if there is a spanish option or not ;)

as a matter of fact it is based upon state and local laws. I would ask your local law enforcement agency. But yes it is ilegal. It destracts other drivers on the road and could cause anything from a minor insident to something as big as a car crash. So for now id say its illigal to do it untell you have asked your local law enforcement agencey.

Probably. It distracts the driver following you and may cause an accident. Check with the Department of motor vehicles or local PD. You might check with your town's attorney as well.

I don't believe it's occurred to lawmakers to create a law covering that... yet. But go ahead and do it and I bet there will at least be a local ordinance against it in your home town shortly afterwards. :)

Heh. I've wondered that myself. I'd like to have a way of entering text too, so I can post messages to other drivers as I'm driving.

it depends on your local laws, they would have to specifically outlaw it. I dont know of any such laws in my area.
Bumper stickers are legal, all kinds of advertizing are legal, this is a grey area.
