This case supposedly makes claim to the 9th District Federal Court, that if you were charged with a felony conviction before March of 1994 and you served your sentence that the court could not use that previous case as a strike against you.

Most US states have serious consequences to driving under the influence of alcohol. Nevertheless, drunk driving incidents and fatalities continue to rise. In addition to the many already deterants to drunk driving already in place, what else can be done to stop this problem and save innocent lives? As a pedestrian, I am fearful of walking on the side-walk when these maniacs are on the road!

I was driving the other day and I got stopped by the police because my tag was expired. When the police asked me for my driver's license I said I didn't have it so I gave him a fake name. He looked up the name and said I didnt have a DL he asked me 3 times about my named and I lied so he arrested me, but when he searched me he found a driver's license that I had gotten off the internet and three credit cards with name I had given him. The name I gave him was my three year old nephew's name, I was using his name to get a good job and as far as the credit cards I never gave him bad credit in fact he has perfect credit now. The cop charged me with giving a fake name slash fraud slash impersonation, so my question is am I going to be charged with fraud or does somebody actuallly need to file charges against me for taking their identity. I was kind of reading about it and to be actually convicted for fraud I would've had to damage his credit but in fact I only improved it.

was behind 19k in 1995, went back to court, and was order to pay 200 a month in arearages plus my current. Inever missed a payment again. The new court order had me paying untill 2004, my current support ended in 2000. all monies went toward arearages at that point. November 2004, I received a subpena, and returned to court thinking all was fine, and was finished paying. I was completely supprised, when the Tx. att. Gen. had me 22k behind at this point. Due to intrest, my arrearages were not even covering the intrest due, even thoug i was paying as the court orderd. my son is 23 years old now, he has a child of his own, and i continue to pay his Mother 225.00 monthly for the next 7 years. I have paid her over 50k, will this ever end?

I have a question. Am I dumb for thinking that we should put skin color behind us and not give anyone special merits or considerations solely based on their race? I understand that affirmative action was needed - AT ONE POINT IN TIME. I think that it as well as similar programs are now being grossly abused - ex: College scholarships for people who are a minority (I actually got this), well how about we give people scholarships based on how hard they're willing to work whether or not they're white black etc. And affirmative action, well what if someone else is more qualified? I wouldnt expect to get any perks based on being a woman or skin color. Which brings me to the idea of reparations, get over it, most people who were enslaved are already dead or almost there. If your grandma beat up my grandma in 1937 I wouldn't demand money or special treatment from you because it's the past and people have advanced since then. Do you think people just want to take shortcuts?

The war on drugs is less than effective; in fact it is so ineffective that it is being considered by most psychologist, policy makers, researchers, and law officials alike to be totally useless in preventing crime and drug use. As long as there is a demand there will be a supply. When the supply is reduced prices of the illegal drugs rise therefore addicts commit more crimes in order to get their fix. The cost of the war on drugs is too high, including salaries for police, jail time, court cost.

Addicts themselves are weak people that are caught up in a sickness that leaves them totally unable to cope with their lives. Jail does not rehabilitate and actually causes the addict to become more hopeless bitter and ashamed after they get out so they use again. These people are in need of help, not harm.

Recently there are many 'drug' courts forming that have programs for addicts so that they go to rehab rather than jail. They are more human and beneficial for the society and the addict

The governor of Alabama, who publicly announced his opposition to the integration of the public schools in Alabama, ordered the Alabama National Guard to stop all black students from entering any public school. The ACLU and the NAACP want to take action with the Court which would enjoin the National Guard from obeying the order of the Governor. Through what Court process can the actions of the governor be declared void and what Principle would the Court use to do so?

have you seen a gold fringe on the flag in a courtroom or classroom lately? that means you are being governed by international maritime admiralty law (which is based on Vatican Canon law), which regards humans as commodities.

if i'm misunderstanding something about this, please enlighten me...

We need to get a petition signed to have sex offenders locked up for good. i am talking about teenage boys/girls and adults who harm young children. This is sick if. Can you tell me how I would get something like this started?

I honestly think I would, if I had sufficient proof, and there was another parent in the picture to take care of my child while I served out my sentence. One less sicko in the world, countless numbers of children saved from the life-long torment of molestation. What do you guys think?

If you aren't pro-choice, I want to hear your opinion about abortion. My feeling is, it is a last resort. I DO think it should remain legal only because if it doesn't, women will do other things like use coat hangers to terminate the pregnancy instead, or commit suicide if they are that desperate, and many women are. My other reason for being pro-choice is that young teenage girls get pregnant, too. I do not think they should have to suffer through junior high or high school, or drop out. It is true they could put the baby up for adoption, but having the baby could be harmful to their health and their education could be put in serious jeapordy. What are your thoughts on why you are pro-choice or pro-life?
