No,neither should be illegal. I have the right to persue happiness, so govt. should get the **** out of my way and let me persue it. Prohibition didn't work the first time around so we tried again and named it a "war on drugs", and as with any war the first casualty is truth. For instance, The American Medical Association found in 1992 that cannabis prohibition caused more harm than cannabis use. They also found that there was no evidence that it was a gateway to harder drugs. Yet you still hear people spouting off as if they know more than a team of doctors lol! And all because they heard it on a 30 second tv commercial. How sad.

Hell yeah alcohol should be illegal and pot legal, I haven't ever heard of someone dying because they smoked too much pot but you have heard about someone dying from drinking too much alcohol. Yes pot kills brain cells, but so does alcohol If you ask me alcohol does it at an even more rapid rate too. I drank from the time I was 12 or 13 until february of this year, now all I do is smoke reefer and even though it is illegal I will not quit because if someone can come home and drink some beer and not leave and they aren't hurting anyone yet I can't do the same only instead of killing my liver at the same time I smoke some pot and chill.
Yes the Prohibition of alcohol didn't work we all know that, but it hasn't worked for marijuana and every other drug that has been banned either. The government is afraid of something and I don't think the american people have any idea of what it may be, of course that is just me I can't trust those that lie to us and when they get caught tell us that it was for our own good. Someday it will be legal, but I don't think I will live to see that day although I sure hope I do so I can go outside and light up a fattie joint and puff away without fear of being persecuted or arrested.

I think alcohol does far more harm, if that's what you mean. I'm intrigued by the Alaskan town that tried prohibition and saw family violence, murder, traffic accidents and other things plummet. However, the courts ruled prohibition unconstitutional and all the problems came back!
We believe in freedom - both should be legal and people should act responsibly.

We've done that experiment. Prohibition didn't work. Its the same for the war on drugs. We've lost. Let's make them all legal. Even furnish them free to those that want to OD. It would be a lot cheaper than what we're spending on the so-called war.

No, I think pot should be illegal as it is, because it leads to use of harder drugs, and because it damages our system by giving power to organized crime. I don´t think alcohol should be illegal at all, it feeds your body and soul.

No, but it doesn't matter. As with marijuana and other illegal substances, even if it is illegal, people, even underage people, will still use it.

Nothing should be illegal. Live by the law of the jungle, that's what I say. Anarchy!
