I'm currently in the military and I am stationed in North Carolina. I've been separated from my wife for almost seven months; we also have a two year old. NC law states that we have to be separated for a year. My wife has yet to sign the separation agreement, though we have come to an informal agreement which we both signed. She seems like she is trying to stall. I get out of the service in November of 2007, by then I'll have been separated long enough in both states. I plan on moving back to GA when I EAS(get out of the military.) If we haven't sealed the deal by then, could I possibly file down in GA?

Silly me, I met a girl online and we chatted for several months. She supposedly got in a car accident and was supposedly in the hospital for a couple of months. It conveniantly happened a week before I said I was going to visit her. I seriously don't believe her. The timing was just too perfect. The internet is so full of phony people I believe it is only good for chatting, and not for meeting people in person. This is more of a curiousity thing. I just wanted to see if she really was hospitalized. I don't know what hospital, all I know she supposedly was in a hospital in Oklahoma. There would have been a police report. Does anybody know a simple way to verify any of this using a hospital patient record or a police report? I know the exact date of the "accident"

I find it kind of hard to get a job. But when I have one it seems so easy to lose. Hmmmmmm! You say lose ? HuH ! Yes but of I would say not of my own fault right ! Right ! A companies turn over rate is higher than thier employment rate. Think about it ! I mean for someone like me I have some college under my belt but no degree, but I work well with others as well as alone. Wait ! Back to my point; when trying to get a job you are like everyone who is applying to the same position unless you know someone who can get you in or you pay a person to get you inside. So here I am waiting for some company to get me my big break on the casting couch; just to get rid of me when they have no use for me any longer, or someone is an a**, or cutbacks are needed or the one I love -you are to qulified for the job.

i was 5 days late paying rent (but i did pay, 3 days ago)
land lord said it was fine
yesterday i got an eviction notice telling me i had to be out in 24 hours
Constable served it
im in KY

I looked up the KY Landlord/Tenant act and it says that hey can not legally put me out. that they must file in court and give me at least 14 days to move.

It also says in my lease that if my rent isn't paid on time i must move immediatly, but it says in the Landlord/tenant act that it is unlawful to take away rights in any way persuant to the Act.
Plus, they have my check for rent.

Now (thanks to my cousin for calling me with the tip) the constible is coming out and he says he is putting me out right now

what should I do?

It’s true. Dick Cheney and Senator Arlen Specter (R-PA) have agreed that the government should be able to access Americans' conversations and emails without getting an individualized warrant. But that isn’t all they’re after.

Under the guise of responding to the NSA spying scandal, the Bush administration and its allies in Congress are actually pushing for new ways to invade your privacy, with unprecedented and dangerous spying legislation crafted under Dick Cheney’s supervision.

The bad news is, if these bills pass, our homes, cell phone records and email inboxes will be laid bare to new kinds of government spying that are currently completely illegal. The good news is that we have a chance to stop these bills now, before White House pressure drives them to a speedy vote.

The Fed can hound you till the day you die for a student loan? They require others to stop at the lastest 20 years if a suit was filed.

My wife had a student loan 23 years ago for one quarter and they har hounding her to death about it. She is disabled on social security so they can't take anything foe her and we were not married when it happened.

Can I file a civil suit against the department of education for pursuing this long after any legal statute of limitation has ran out?

he has not seen his (MY!!) daughter in 2 years, left the state (w/o notifying the court), then appeared last week, claiming his undying love for my daughter. she is almost 8 years old and did not even recognize him. he has (say's not anymore....don't believe him) a bad drug/alcohol problem. he is homeless and in financial dire straights. he's also in back arrerages......but i don't want his money. i do not want to treat my daughter like chattel, but he is not appropriate to be around her. i am offering him money to waive his parental rights, but he won't hear of it. we have exhausted the court system. it is not in her best interested to be with him unsupervised....i fear for her safety. any ideas how i can persuade him to sign and take the money? i am being very nice to him and have told him he can still see her, but she cannot be alone with him. i live in USA. thanks all. i am just a mother trying to protect my child.

It's a Tank scooter and all sorts of problems have been going on with it. She's had it less than a month and the whole muffler fell off on the way home. Now its in the shop being repaired and they keep giving her the run-around on when it will be fixed. Since there is no "cooling off" period for buying scooters, she seems to have no legal leg to stand on. What to do?
